  1. 2003 CADETS FOR SURE! I couldn't agree more with what has already been said in this thread about it. Personally, this is my favorite show of all time, bar none. Others sit at the top with it, but when I think about it, I always decide on this one, but it doesn't get enough love on these forums. That drumline... wow. One of the cleanest ever in my opinion, and they have some sweet features. Plus the hornline was rocking. What a great show...

  5. I was using "Stumble" at 2 in the morning again and came across this video. It's nice to see more of these "daily video" type sites using drum corps to entertain the masses. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen Tim Jackson on one of these sites. http://www.vidzest.com/media/196/Thea_Most..._Ever_to_Exist/
  6. How about the part in '06 BD where the knife stabs the heart in the drill...
  7. 2001 Vanguard. One of my favorite Vanguard shows.
  8. I plan on finishing my undergrad in spring of 2011, and under the old rules, I would age out in 2010.
  9. This would be bittersweet; I would be happy for my friends who could march another year, but I was unfortunately born on January 6, a mere 5 days too late.
  10. Well, on that token, don't you think Beethoven would be disappointed to find that Fur Elise is used in IBM commercials and Brahms wouldn't like hearing that Hungarian Dance is a staple in Looney Tunes? Obviously, the company would have to check with the corps, and the corps would likely get compensated. I think it would be an excellent way to work on getting drum corps some main stream exposure.
  11. I was just listening to '01 Vanguard, and when they get to the part where they chant "New Era... etc." I was thinking of how cool it would be if the baseball hat company "New Era" used this segment of the show in a commercial. Imagine watching TV, then a commercial comes on and it's '01 Vanguard? I know I would watch it. Does anyone know if anything like this has ever happened, where a real drum corps show has been used for commercial gain?
