  1. A timeline on Fred's actions. Fred does not deserve a thread so I put him with GH. GH hits the news. Fred as Chairman of the Board of DCI reviews with the BOD they revise the dci code of conduct. The same guidelines/recommendations that were passed along to the corps. Then the dci BOD realizes that Fred himself is in violation of the new codes and he resigns. On his return to the Crossmen, he presents the new guidelines and should have resigned since The Crossmen can't meet the recommendations with him involved. Instead, he stays and makes a mockery of dci efforts to address the issue. What's to stop other corps from looking the other way here and there? What does zero tolerance mean? Not saying others at dci don't deserve to step-up Fred right now has the biggest target. He is casting a grey area around dci efforts. What's at stake close to 70k MMs go through these corps each decade and a few adults thinking they are bigger than all that it is not right.
  2. Correct but none of these stories give the full picture dci and GH knew and still looked the other way for 40 years until something simular happened. For the record here in GH's thread you manageed to be the worst of the worst. Donna Bell is towards the back with the guard, your not forgetten. http://www.optimists-alumni.org/photos/albums/userpics/10004/1977_Seneca_yearbook.pdf
  3. The link is a Tricia L Nadolny inspired piece that goes into more detail. On her twitter feed there seems to be some confusion about OC's vetting procedures. She is getting quite a following and there are more questional activites being discussed. On Tricia's twitter feed is a named OC staff member that says they did not go through any of the vetting procedures that OC claims they did for Stevens? https://metiza.com/need-to-know/report-shows-misconduct-harassment-and-bad-hiring-practices-widespread-in-drum-corps-international/
  4. Here is an encouraging message from the Director of the Cavaliers. https://cavaliers.org/news-blog/letterfromtheexecutivedirector-04262018
  5. Good grief; it appears that in MY utopian (draconian) world I left a few things out.Like the glass & dishwasher manufacturers, who could have made softer and cooler glass. Then lets on forget the person who drank the bourbon they provided the means to molest. Then the Jack Daniels Company for dirtying the glass in the first place. The Bar owner who served the drink and my date for being a big dork.
  6. Good info along those same lines if someone lied for a buddy on a personal reference and a crime occurred aa result is that person liable? Say they worked at the same place in the past and it was no secret (press) why they were let go and they conveniently forget that in the reference. Or that they know they are part of an elaborate scheme that includes scrubbing the internet? Is the person who altered their online persona committing a crime since their objective is to continue tortious abuse of kids?
  7. I don't have any legal knowledge. Yes it does work the other way most of the time. Don't know if they have legal standing or not but civil suits bear a less burden of proof. It would be nice if certain examples were set.
  8. Interesting I know nothing about the VK situation. In this case, OC in their press releases referred to him as a contractor more than once. They claim his vetting came back clean. They used the term elephant in the room when it comes to vetting. Could it be the same elephant that Fred used? Why was he so clean, who was his personal references? How was OC alerted to his past? His presence caused damage to the OC brand. The entire in-house staff walked out and his presence to put it lightly made the MM's and staff uncomfortable. OC enflamed the situation by thanking him. There transition to 2019 planning and recruiting was delayed. Members left for other corps (according to REDDIT). He caused the winter program to close. Real Damage!
  9. No it does not. My question is being a contractor to OC, can they sue him for damage to their brand? In-house employees are handled differently usually fired. Companies sue contracters for damage often.
  10. This about somes it up, get this a lot from the wife and now here at DCP but it's all good.
  11. That was right up there for me to. Also because of the rain the fireworks got wet and shot right into The Cadets at retrest, thank god none of them were injured,
  12. One of the Mummers String Bands had 3D Printed Props, more like prop transformers. Now with the Tarpon Springs video displays what's next? Your told to bring your 3D glasses to the show. I seen the future and dci has a robot class, the robots will demand it after seeing a few shows themselves.
  13. I think this is the second team to work their way up through Sound Sport. The Guardians already have their own identity and are doing well, best of luck to Arsenal. Would be nice if New Mexico had a tour leg coming out of the west, new markets for dci and more kids bused in to see the show.
  14. Update From Arsenal Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give you a quick update on Arsenal's 2019 season. We're still looking for members in all sections, and we've taken some steps to make participating in our program easier. Video auditions are now FREE and being accepted on a rolling basis anyone who has not previously been cut from the audition process may attend a camp without receiving a prior callback. Camp Fees have been set to a flat rate of $75 for our Friday-Sunday camps with all meals and housing provided. Our tuition has been capped at $1,500 for the season. Members from out-of-state may be given probational contracts even if they are not able to attend camps. These probational contracts will require bi-weekly video assignments so that staff can monitor progress. All of these steps are because we want as many people as possible to participate in our 2019 season. We are currently undergoing an evaluation to become an Open Class Corps, and should we pass that evaluation we will be cleared to go on the Open Class tour this summer. We are preparing multiple different budgets based on the number of members we end up with, with more members meaning that we are able to embark on a longer tour. Should we get 80+ or more members it is possible that we will go on a 7 show tour with shows in Arizona, California, Utah, and Colorado. For this to happen, however, we need students to show up and be a part of this season! We would love for you to be a part of the 2019 Arsenal. You can read more about the process and register for camp/videos at MarchArsenal.org. If you have any questions, I would love to answer them! Thank you to everyone who has supported us as we continue to grow this program and strive to become New Mexico's premier marching arts ensemble!
  15. Retired AT&T had investigation who was slipping the rack size copper grounding rods in their paints. Now in the old days on those unshielded talk taps, on a surge, you could eat some copper but never thought of doing it the other way. Takes all kinds.
  16. I second that and it's just not Ms. Nadonly anymore she has quite a well deserved following that could show up as well.
  17. From SCV's FB Page boy that would be nice great venue
  18. He found something I guess. Some people say his old FB posts claimed he's agnostic an atheist, I don't know. As the Hopper churns?
  19. Now it's the afterlife, he found GOD. Sounds more like legal advise to me. https://imgur.com/a/dIEUZyh
