  1. MBI definitely has the horn trophy so far. Visual...not so much.
  2. CV seems very well schooled. And man, they must have put something in the water tonight!!
  3. Guard is hot! But drill is rather close and slow. Makes the horns sound nice and tight!
  4. Agreed! The only exception to this is Reading. And it is why they are winning year after year, after year, after year, after year....
  5. Cabs do not venture more than 20 yards on either side of the 50 for approx. 3/4 of their show. This just may have something to do with it.
  6. You got to admit though that it is the Cabs visual that was their undoing.
  7. Saw Bucs at Big Sounds and I would say that they are probably as close to a safe bet for the championship as I have ever seen. In fact, I was thinking that in the interest of getting folks out and on the road a bit earlier on Sunday evening, that we just have the Bucs do the first half of their program. Then we can score the 10th place through second place corps. If the second place corps scores 97.50, give the Bucs. 97.51 and call it a night!
  8. And since the title of this thread is Stirring the Pot, how about the possibility of Cabs falling to 4th place?
  9. C2 would also benefit from having their own vehicle and not just a watered down retread of a DCI program. However from my view, C2's content, especially in percussion and visual just kills it! Cabs may have an edge in the complexity of their horn program.
  10. I would respectfully disagree. Certainly C2's program will not compare favorably with the Bucs, however C2 has every bit the program as the Cabs, who seem to spend a LOT of time hanging between the 30 yard lines.
  11. Lots of folks seem to be using Chromecast, but is the stream compatible with Apple AirPlay? Also I have ordered the Finals package however can't seem to find what time the stream will kick off in the schedule page.
  12. Yeah, that's probably what it is...and if they REALLY wanted to be funny, they would have voted for them in the 5th, 6th and 7th place polls. That would have been a hoot!
  13. Geez, Cabs don't seem to be getting a lot of love here.
  14. To be honest, other than the Bucs, most Seniors aren't even in the same zip code as the Juniors in terms of content. But it is this effect generating content that seems to rule the day in the modern drum corps activity, and it is the corps whose program most closely approaches the modern paradigm of the activity, as defined by World Class DCI, that will stand the best chances of competing. As I mentioned in another thread, it is the show that is written last November that ultimately determines the DCA Champion on Labor Day weekend.
  15. Just being a smart-###. Probably won't make much difference who performs last or second to last. If both corps perform the way they are capable, it will be the show that was written last November that will determine the championship on Labor Day weekend.
