  1. Seriously? The judges? Why could it not possibly be that The Phantom Regiment doesn't have the best music, best horns, and best percussion? I'm tired of fans blaming everyone but the performers. "The crowd didn't get it" "The judges don't like us" "the judges didn't understand our concept". Get over it. I guarantee you the kids who are busting their ###es at PR and every other corps don't dwell on how the judges are "treating them". Because they know, in the end, it's only they, the performers, that can be held accountable for what they did on the field. And in turn, every performer should have pride in that.
  2. Better yet, the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington, TX. That place is going to be amazing. http://www.stadiumsofnfl.com/future/cowboys754.jpg
  3. I don't. While I love the Cavalier/PR rivalry, I love PR. I get goosebumps every time I listen to amazing grace. And the opener to Harmonic Journey is a mellophone dream. Again, all in good fun. You have a very nice drum corps.
  4. It's the guard...they're supposed to represent the concept...but ok. Let's compare THIS year, shall we? Here's just a sample comparison. Cavaliers: Billy Joel: All in all, a show about life and the toils of living. Represented by "picking yourself up" in various obvious and subtle ways. The hectic drill and overlapping musical phrases. The Phantom Regiment: On Air: Sky colored uniform accents. Flapping wings. The Firebird Suite. Also, the DC community doesn't all think in black and white. Believe it or not, some people don't have a list of corps they love and corps they hate.
  5. Every corps is guilty of this. Buy the corps produced dvds and go to the extras. I bet there will be a "design" commentary or vignette on that years show, explaining what the design team was thinking at counts 1-8, 8-12, 12-16, etc. etc. The Cavaliers just happened to put something out a little further in advance.
  6. Part 2 of the Andy Toth interview is up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaYqwOaW0YY
  7. For one, this is a horribly false statement. Second: You've never marched there, so what's your basis for knowing how hard a Cavalier show is, much less the 2007 Cavalier program?
  8. It wasn't "moving for movings sake". Sorry you didn't get it. Some corps like to be a little more complex then just buying their GE by means of sky colored uniform accents.
  9. How could you not find The Cavaliers'? They have several right on their website. The offical and a couple fan designs.
  10. Congrats to The Blue Knights on winning the afternoon show!
  11. Have YOU been touched by his noodley appendage?
  12. Thanks. CDs and DVDs are available. ;) We owe it in part to our NO FOOTBALL TEAM. But we have a giant stadium to perform/practice in.
  13. It was sad watching him go. He brought music to the field for the first time like: Sam Hazo's "Ride" Moulin Rouge The Godfather
  14. Cavaliers When they play "Rolling Thunder". So much fun for those baritones. That and Rainbow/corps medley is just awesome.
  15. comeonfhgwhgads: LOVE your signature and completely agree.
  16. Whatever. Harry's to cool not to play mello. Ron scream baritone player. Hermione is such a perfectionist...pit is perfect. And Malfoy has such a pompous ego...how does that not scream soprano? (no pun intended)
  17. He'd definitely play mello. Ron's a baritone. Hermione would be in the pit. Malfoy would play sop.
