  1. Yet you were mature enough to call your "big boy" actions to everyone's attention. kudos Oh DCP..........
  2. How can it be respected if it isn't really really really unnecessarily hard to do? *sarcasm off* seriously...why do people not get the whole "smarter not harder" concept?
  3. The pushy ones are always the ones that say director "I want my 7, lead mellos to form a perfect square for their feature here." writer "I can't do that, not without making things uneven and messing with the spacing." director "But that wouldn't be perfect. Just figure it out. Then I want them to then go into 'windows' at count 7-9" writer "Sigh..............."
  4. So the rumors are true......ZOMG! I'll make sure to check out his stuff, thanks!
  5. Seriously?! ####, that sucks for Chris. Elfman basically gets credit for that theme all over the net.
  6. Any good program will insist that they have a close relationship with the drill process. The drill writer is there to take the ideas of the design staff and put it on the field, as well as offer his/her expertise and ideas.
  7. You know...now that you mention it, I think you're right.
  8. Add to that the "Futurama" theme. Also: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Spiderman 3"
  9. Elfman has done WAY more then just Batman Returns. Elfman, I would bet, is also pretty high up there in pay. He does great works left and right. Yet, with Elfman, he's not too high and mighty to be contacted. Oh, and when I wanted a copy of the score to TLOTR trilogy, Howard Shore returned my phone call promptley. We had a nice chat and I bought the score manuscripts. Stuff like that makes me respect people like Elfman and Shore much more then Williams. (note....this is not to say that Williams isn't American music greatness. Olympic Fanfare, anyone?)
  10. One of the things I've never liked about Williams is his lack of contact-ability. His "website" is just a Sony music page. Most other major film composers have detailed websites and contact information. You want to do a Hans Zimmer piece? Send him an e-mail. Danny Elfman? Give him a call, his number is public.
  11. If I remember correctly, there is one member who marched from 2000-2006.
  12. I'd say about every 5 of 7 years I'm loving the first place finisher.
  13. Interesting. Kinda disappointing, though. May just be all the buildup to, and not the actual uni. I like the color, and the clean lines, but that tiny flip thing in the front looks awkward, and the gauntlets look really small. Is it just me, or do they look small? But overall, definitely a more modern, cleaner look for Bloo.
  14. 2002 Cavaliers That show raised the level of competitive drum corps.
  15. While it's not the "official" logo....Cavalier gears are pretty sweet. Well, at least they make a bad-@@@ tattoo.
  16. Just as long as they play "swing and groove" pieces that haven't already been made tired, or expand on a theme that has been done several times before. They may have the talent to be a solid semifinalist, but to be a finalist they need top 12 grade show design. Here's hoping.
  17. Better yet: "Who do you think is gonna win it all?!" (predictions made in November before a single show has even been announced.)
  18. Seriously....someone answers "None" and people are getting upset? It's a valid answer. Not everyone was drawn into the activity by the Phantom Regiment.
  19. 2000 Cadets! I kid, I kid.... Seriously? 2003 cavaliers.
