  1. Well, they have become regular contenders for a title recently. I think they are on track...love the fact that there are talented performers each year, and the creativity of the staff is exceptional. They seem to know how to get the best out of a show and turn it into a production by the end of the season.
  2. Reminds me of an experience I had at the In & Out in Las Vegas which involved me, my buddy, and babysitting two very attractive middle aged ladies headed to a Jimmy Buffet concert who had clearly been hanging out in Margaritaville way too long. Oops...what happens in Vegas.... :sshh:
  3. Could you post the website...I would like to check it out for someone I know who lives there who is getting interested in marching corps somewhere
  4. 1. Phantom Regiment (surprise surprise) 2. Blue Devils 3. Carolina Crown 4. Bluecoats 5. Blue Stars
  5. It is because of the Phantom Regiment that I am still engaged in this activity after several years. Thank you for what you do...you enlighten my summer schedule year after year. This show gave me a knot in my throat way back in Coon Rapids....never has that happened at a season opener show. You are amazing and am very much looking forward to next year's production and a great performance in Indy!!!
  6. I think there was just as much or even more dirt in the corps ahead of PR...especially the Cavaliers. I would not be surprised if PR leapfrogs the Cavies tonight. I was hoping the Cavies would be putting more preshaw on the "Up With People Band" just ahead of them. Regardless...some have said that years past were great drum corps years, but 2007 is legitimately one of THE best!
  7. I wonder if there are any parents out there of current junior corps members? A little showing them what drum corps used to be/should be???? :P
  8. WTF? Flute I&E competition??? You have got to be kidding me...and a Cavalier color guard member won too...
  9. Was there booing? I could not hear it, but could see it on the mm faces...
  10. Looks likethere is rain all around the stadium according to the cool new interactive map on weather.com...
  11. ^0^ (Sans Red:Insert Blue) Cavaliers 2nd, I see the Phantom Regiment making a surge into the top 3...Bluecoats, CC, then the Cadets.... B)
  12. Why are you hating on my home and beloved city...JENNIFO??? :P
  13. Is anyone else's signal cutting up...or is it just me?
  14. I want to reply...but am not sure what to say or how to say it... Afraid sharing my comments are not going to do any good....
  15. I was there...this was my first live drum corps show as a spectator with some of my buddies. Indianapolis 1991. All I could think about that day before the show and hurrying up to get my work done at home so I could go. I scammed a way to take my grandma's car and we all headed down to Indy at 16 years old. I remember the hot blonde girl in the Phantom Regiment pit playing those iron skillets, and strangely can recall the perfume some lady (####) was wearing, the Star drum line amazing us as we slowly rolled by in the parking lot. I recall telling my friends that Phantom Regiment was my favorite...the guard, the power of the hornline, and J.D. Shaw's solo...I thought he was a GOD because of that sustained and perfect note!!! They argued that Star was the best because they were more technical and it does not matter how sweetly you play. I recall that heated discussion late night at a McDonald's after the show. (One of those guys went on to march PR in 1996 :P ) I admired Star though as they were all great...but I fell in love with the Phantom Regiment! Good times...that show locked me in! Interesting the small details you recall when you fall in love with something!
  16. That is just awesome Nikk! b**bs How did your interview go?
  17. Of the ones I have heard...there are some great ballads out there. I really like the music of the Blue Stars ballad the best as it really sticks in my head, the sweet arrangement of the Bluecoats, the classy and dignified Phantom Regiment, and then the great musicianship of the Crown ballad.
