  1. I have not replied in DCP for years, but I lived in Castleton for 4 years and enjoyed BAC every spring. As a music educator for 38 years, and alumni of New England Conservatory and BU, I have appreciated Crusaders as a special organization. (It should be noted that BD and Cadets have always been my favorite corps). But it would be awesome for DCI if BAC was great enough to win. Certainly whatever corps is best, they deserve the Gold, but it would be great for the activity if an underdog had a chance. I was at Phantom's Spartacus win...

  3. I saw them twice in Castleton and both times brought me to tears as well. For those wondering about visual matching the music - absolutely yes!
  4. Home in Castleton - Just saw Crusader's complete run-through - on the edge of my seat throughout. This was the first time I saw the show with the wonderful guard and saw the complete drum solo - wow! This was their third run-through of the day and it is obvious that their physical training program is functioning extremely well. Boston already has so many visuals, yet I feel like there is also a ton of room to grow. They will give everyone a run for their money this year - total and complete musical, artistic, and visual package...Fantastic Work!
  5. I just arrived home from Crusaders rehearsal in Castleton. I saw a run through of Sensemaya without met - amazing! The intensity was staggering. I do not say this lightly, but they could medal this year. The hit on Salvation is Created brought tears to my eyes. They are way beyond their work at this point last year. There is balance throughout the ensemble but the baritones - OMG. The demand is also very engaging - I cannot say enough positives about Boston this year! Good job everyone!
  6. No - it is open to the public - location is quite beautiful. Full ensemble rehearsals are in the evenings. Brass and percussion right in your face - guard was on another field but was looking strong. Boston has definitely upped their demand. They were off metronome tonight and went pretty well...should be fun.
  7. I live in Castleton and just returned from their rehearsal - yes, you are correct - something special is coming :)
  8. I am a professor on campus so I see them everyday - what a beautiful world we live in...

  11. And completely different show from their Castleton debut in Castleton VT in May - Congratulations Crusaders!
  12. not sure how SCV, Cadets, and Cavies can be so far away from top three? Classic excellence!
  13. Too bad but by tomorrow night night - Cadets will one point Cavies...great show by Cavies - love to see them back...
  14. Wow - Cavaliers so intense - missing some trumpet voices but overall so strong - watch out Cadets...
  15. I totally understand BK's show - took me the whole season - bit lovely...
  16. I agree - BDB was amazing - I think the same for BDA even tho I am long time Cadets fan - what's the difference between BDB and BDA love? I get multiple championships in a row for BDA (and BDB for that matter) but excellence is excellence no matter how you view it...
  17. No problem - just wondering why DCI has made us wait so long this year...
  18. sorry if I missed any scores - not on DCI website - can you update since 2 pm?
