  1. The end of Bluecoats show last year was not a gesture asking for applause. The guard brought in the "main character" to their imaginative cloud-person world (for large lack of better term), then slowly began spreading through the entire corps, when at the end finally converting the drum major; the ending gesture was supposed to be a sort of symbolic invitation towards the audience to join their "world". I guess it would be pretty easy to misunderstand, though.
  2. as far as the last few years go, i think there have actually been less weeks of move-ins than usual this year
  3. cavaliers in houston, blue devils in dallas, bluecoats in denton, troopers in houston, madison scouts in denton, SCV in houston,
  4. matched grip with your drum lower is a lot more comfortable than up high having to stick out your elbows... ever noticed the drum height difference between snares and tenors?
  5. Playing on a tilted snare is natural/makes sense, that isn't really copying the old SCV.
  6. Yes and no.. I saw their lot and was not very impressed.. lots of entrance and clarity issues then on the field they were a different drumline than I had seen just half an hour before. I don't like the inconsistency, but their line was #### good when they played well.
  7. The sheet music for it is on www.snarescience.com probably one of the most difficult snare breaks out there this year
