You could watch and get a better analogy of the show. And see what they are doing to try to fix things. See, this is why I blow off a lot of things that are said on here. Especially from people that have never marched drum corps, or has not been around a corps for a summer to see what the real deal is with drum corps.

YEP you are wrong. I just get tired of seeing people trash talk about drum corps. Where did you and your friend march? (Drum corps that is.) I don't do drill. I'm a music person. So I’m all about the music, percussion and horns. But I can see what’s going on with the drill. And my friend Todd Ryan is doing a GREAT job with BD. I'm not on DCP dogging out a corps and what they are doing.

WOW, I’m sorry but I spent a day watching BD practice when they were here in Knoxville. And they do some serious drill. They have the chairs, and use them well. But their drill is very deep at times. So to say that their drill is easy is kind of funny. So who do you write drill for? Just curious. Not looking for an argument. I’m just very curious, because, they must be the stuff.

That is great, Ken. If your son is anything like mine, anytime he hears or see a marching unit they will be the Scouts. lol My son gets fighting mad when I tell him that the group that he hears is not the Scouts. SO, I just let him go with calling everybody, " MY SCOUTS". He will learn as he gets older, I , hope, guess and pray. MYNWA and POW

But how will the change happen in the end? It has to go to DCI, right? Not just talking about it on here. What change has been made by just talking on DCP? All questions, I'm not getting evil with you.

Ok, you have some great points there. But wouldn’t it be betting to take these ideas somewhere where they could do some good. Posting them on DCP won’t get the job done. You need to take these to DCI as a concerned parent. My son is just about to turn four. But when he’s old enough to march, and I have a problem, I will go through and to the proper channels. I won’t try to get into something that is so heart felt on DCP. I don’t wish to burn you at the stake. It’s really hard to tell someone’s tone of voice on here. So I hope that you don’t thing that I’m trying to get nasty with you. That’s just not me.

Right, life is simple sometimes. So why complain about something that you have NO control over? Just enjoy, or try to enjoy the activity without trying to be so picky. Get on someone’s staff, or become a DCI judge if you think you can do better. If not, don’t get mad if someone makes a remark that’s not dealing with you. And thank you too.

I hung out with BD today at their rehearsal today in Knoxville. And I would be there with you on that call. BUT I have not seen anybody else. So I'm not sure that I could say that right now. But they are pretty dang gone good this year.
