  1. Yes. My full-screen view is also quite pixillated when following motion. This my first live webcast this season, so I don't have anything to compare it to.
  2. I think Pacific Crest's designers might want to re-think that opening set...
  3. Is the video quality kind of bad (on full screen) or is it just me?
  4. That was the case for the Arlington show, which was on a Saturday. I don't envy anyone having to get from any distance away to GMU during a weekday evening rush hour (myself included). Can you say recipe for disaster? Memo to bus drivers: If you leave at about 3:00 AM the morning of the show, you might just make it in time!
  5. This is complicated by the fact that Fairfax County schools do not permit overnight use of their facilities.
  6. Thank you!! My other suggestion would be a clearer separation between the lines of those who have their tickets with them and those who are purchasing/picking up at Will Call. And while you're at it, can you do something about the glare from the setting sun behind the corps?
  7. The corps which marched in the Boy Scout parade just got some nice face time in a feature story on tonight's 10 o'clock News on Fox 5 here in DC. The story focused on how hot everyone must have been marching in this weather wearing those uniforms.
  8. Does anyone know which way the seat numbers go at J. Birney Crum? For example, if you are standing on the field looking up at the stands, do they go up (1, 2, 3, 4...) or down (33, 32, 31, 30...) from left to right? Thanks!
  9. It varies depending on the venue. I expect generally, if your friend can produce an ID which matches the name the tickets are being held under, that should be sufficient. He should inquire with whomever the tickets were purchased from just to make sure.
  10. Robert Irsay. & they weren't U-Hauls, they were Mayflower moving vans... the infamous footage of them slowly pulling away in the snowy Baltimore night being one of the iconic scenes of American sports history...
  11. I heard someone was so P.O.'d they stabbed the drum major! Wait... that was last season.
  12. Ticket is still available... it's a great seat!
  13. Careful - the INT borg is pretty powerful around here. Don't want to rile them up, if you know what's good for you...
  14. Here is the oficial show Web site. This is the show which used to be held in Warrenton and was known as "Drum Corps in Fauquier". One thing which concerns me is that the housing sites are quite far away (as the traffic flies, that is) from the venue. I hope everyone plans accordingly and allows enought time to get to the venue from housing/rehearsal locations. Weather is crappy here right now - cloudy, humid, with scattered thunderstorms predicted for this evening, with some possible heavy downpours.
  15. Hello: I have one extra ticket for the Saturday Show, August 1, in Allentown. It is a Premium Seat, located in section J, row 13, within the range of seats 17-23. The price is $35.00 (face value). Please PM me if you are interested, and we can arrange to meet prior to the show on Saturday. Thanks!
  16. There was a Cadets reunion at the new Allentown Brew Works downtown last year. It's *ahem* "nicer" than Lupo's, although admittedly not across the street from the stadium. Don't forget to make time for a pre-show visit to Josh Early Candies on Tilghman Street for some serious choco-bliss!
  17. Hi Hrothgar: I tried to PM you, but your in box is full. I will have one extra premium ticket for sale when I arrive in Allentown on Saturday. If you are interested, please PM me for details.
  18. Clouds breaking up nicely here in Alexandria, about 35-40 miles west of Annapolis. Very warm & humid, which means... pop-up thunderstorms later this afternoon. But I think the steady rain from earlier today is over with.
  19. Is it my imagination,or is the background music Blue Devils' F Tuning? It starts right after the bullet shatters the bottle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=josjHiJcCYA
  20. OT - Michael Phelps - 1 gold down. World record (he COASTED in to the finish )
  21. Yes, because, goodness knows we wouldn't want to offend the racists in the audience.
