  1. As you may know we had network issues today during the A class. We had hoped to post more near live photos but did not work out. Here are a collection of photos from your favorite A class corps during DCA Prelims today: Shenandoah Sound
  2. Sorry for the delay of photo's. Our network issues continue but I have found a very slow method of getting a couple photo's posted. We hope to get more up later. Shenandoah Sound Manassas Park, VA
  3. We will bring you live coverage of Prelims, Alumni spectacular and Finals! Now it's time to head downtown for a little I&E and Minicoprs! Sorry, no live coverage tonight unless you want me to describe the carnage that is about to take place at Dinosaur BBQ.
  4. We have a gigabit network connection. Charlies field photos will be sent to the box wirelessly to add a few live shots to Kevin's commentary. Looking forward to a great weekend!
  5. Hello all! John, Charlie and I are here a day early doing some test for our live blog of the DCA championship weekend. Jeff, Danielle and Kevin are on their way.
  6. That about sums up the run between Reno and Salt Lake City. Nothing to do but gamble and play with rocks in the desert. But there is always miles of corn waiting just ahead.
  7. Can't wait to get started! In the mean time, the Renegades "Contrabego" and equipment trailer has already started east. Follow these intrepid travelers as they embark on their cross country journey while photographing and bloging the disgusting details on the Renegades home page: www.renegades.org Kind of like an advent calendar counting down the days to DCA, except the box is full of smelly contra players. Update from the Contrabego! The contrabego has been pushing strong since last nights departure, already covering 770 miles. The guys on board are having a great and taking 300 mile shifts at a time! Here are some pictures from so far!
  8. Just a thought. Only the top 2 go to the Superbowl. They get there by the cosistancy of there seasons. Every win get's them one step closer. Then it's one on one. Not what we have here. And yes, I'm a fan of the Blue Devils. No they should not win every year but it's really cool that they are always in the hunt. I love that about them!
  9. I like the underdog in sports with a clear scoring system. The dissadvantage of a subjective judging system is that major changes in scores are often times hard to justify. I enjoy a little bumping around with those that are already close or those that have been steadily improving. It's a delicate balance of keeping the scoring consistant while allowing reasonable movement and placement changes. As fans we all have our emotional causes, they win too much, they never win, they are home town favorite, they are the underdog. The best we can hope for is the judges make an honest evaluation within their particular catagory. The term underdog tends to say there are other considerations besides what they do on the field either positve or negative. My vote, undefeated if they deserve it.
  10. Blue Devils B 93.550 Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets 92.250
  11. That's cool! I hated it in the past when they kept the OC in a separate stadium. Quarter finals excluded. Don't want to be too greedy.
  12. Ohh no, that means that the top 5 corps will have give 50% of thier score to the bottom 5 corps. Ok, enough waiting, how bout some scoress!
  13. Sorry, quick compare with Paw Paw scores and got it backwards. No offence to Cap Reg. Just shows how inconsistant OC scores can be. It's very tough on the members. been there...
  14. From last show, pretty consistant improvement: BDB +.65 Citations +.6 Raiders +.5 Nice jump for Cap Reg +2.8 Should be a great show in Indi. Can't wait to see all these corps live next Friday! Keep it up BDB, our hearts are with you!

  16. Kevin, thank's for the great play by play. I've enjoyed sitting next to you in that roll and there is nobody better at it than you IMO. Hope to see you at DCI and DCA. Go BDB!
  17. BDB After what happened last year the stress level must be huge. Don't let it bother you and keep entertaining the crowds with your beautiful show! Be the best you can be, that's all anyone asks. There will be time to breath on August 9th.
  18. That's OK, with all the running they do the photo's would be blury anyway Thanks for the play by play! Can't wait to see all these open class corps at DCI! The Blue runs pretty deep in this family, we are extremely proud of all those tasty BD flavors A, B and C!
  19. Ah, the return of the "7" award. This is a 7' tall trophey with a 7 at the top. I was sitting in the stands near a BDC girl and you should have seen the look on her face when they won! Even better is to watch the drum major try to drag that thing off the field. Congratulations BDC on breaking 60 and a fantastic season! We are so proud of you but even more important is you are truly one of the most entertaining corps on the field. There should be an award for that...and that would be the "7" award
  20. Was this a judged show? It was not listed on the DCI site. Anyway, looking forward to seeing Citations at DCI!
  21. Congrat's BDB on a great score tonight! Looks like those long day's a Mars are paying off. Can't wait to see you tomorrow in Dublin!!
