  1. The Raiders now have an official twitter account for the corps this summer. Click the link below to follow all of the on the road updates. http://twitter.com/TheAmzinRaiders
  2. It was a very good camp. Brass numbers are strong. Depending on the needs of the drill design brass numbers will be between 35 and 42. Guard was not present due to the WGI season Percussion is once again formidable in the corps. A pit of 10 to 12 once finalized. 6 or 7 snares 3 or 4 tenors and 5 basses. There is no cymbal line in the battery this year. Corps is looking to be not only the largest Raiders corps to hit the field but also one of the most talented both individually and as a corps. Perfect timing for their 20th anniversary season.
  3. email me, i can assist you. snlballer20@gmail.com or contact Tom the corps director: tommaiello@raidersdbc.org
  4. email me, snlballer20@gmail.com I can get you the information you need. There is a camp this weekend.
  5. 1. Oregon Crusaders- lots of momentum from last year, now with only BDB in there way. 2. Blue Devils B- Always a very strong program and will assuredly put a solid show on the field. They might be able to take it all. 3. Citations- Excellent visual program will take them here with harder drill and they need a stronger drumline 4. Raiders- Huge influx of talent and horns. The numbers were what they lacked previously. Now they have it. Paced by their drumline. 5. Revolution- Once again, excellent show designs and solid percussion. 6. Teal Sound- From what I've heard this is a building year for some reason. New percussion staff as well. But who knows. 7. SCV Cadets- Once again rebuilding year, however have the potential to go much higher easily. 8. Dutch Boy- This canadian corps will see tons of talent and should do well 9. Memphis- Very strong last year, and should improve 10. Legends- They proved themselves last year, and look for them to improve this year 11. Spartans- Can you honestly see them out of it for that long? 12. Yamato- If they are consistent they'll be in. Possibilities: VK, Cap Sound, Impulse
  6. quantum would infer that they would be using the full quantum line, meaning majestic pit percussion, mapex marching percussion, and jupiter horns. when they will only be using jupiter horns as far as i've read
  7. There are no div 3 corps in DCI. Open Class is the term, last i checked the raiders last competed in that format as a div 2 anyway. And they all face the same economic barriers. The Raiders are no exception. /topic. Spirit of Newark...
  8. How bout a raiders one? http://www.raidersdbc.org
  9. it means he said something then edited his post. because whatever he had said wasnt relevant or something along those lines. nothing negative. best of luck to them.
  10. Didnt they march 9 snares in 2007? I just checked on parking lot sounds...
  11. Thats a yes. From the pictures i've been seeing posted online pistol grip it is.
  12. Should be a cool exhibition. I'd love to be there. But i'll be at camp with raiders. I went last year, it was great to just see the raw shows early in the season. From a performer's standpoint seeing the first draft is always interesting.
  13. yes...please come play plates with us! On topic: It will be a great experience to see how the different corps handle their membership from a design standpoint. Sometimes the best shows come from smaller corps.
  14. The average size I'm sure will hover around 100 members. With corps like teal and surf having close to the max. I know that teal has very close to 150, if not a full corps. Where as there will be corps such as raiders, spartans, memphis probably, all around 100. I'm sure BDB and Vanguard will have more than that though.
  15. there's alot more to that story. heard it myself from those involved. he got screwed...they got screwed. oh well.
  16. I highly doubt you made the trip to both Wayne, NJ and Jacksonville, FL to see raiders and teal respectively. I have no problem with you showing support for your favorite corps or line. It just seems like you've been fishing for comments since I saw your name pop up on here. Such as your post about a corps playing greenday, you and I both know what that is about. But I have no doubt that Surf's percussion program will once again be top notch.
