Ladies and Gentlemen, All I have to say is this: I am VERY proud of the Rochester Crusaders. Over the past weeks, we have done quite well in brass and percussion. Yes, we do have a weak section at the moment... Visual/guard. The members in the guard have pushed hard and are doing a great job! They have made consistent improvement from week to week. Several new members will be put into the drill this week. This should make an impact on the visual portion of our program. With regards to negative alumni. Why not ask the management if we need some help with recruiting? Why not ask if there is anything you can do to help your drum corps? Why not talk to your friends to help us recruit, raise funds, offer to be on the support staff. Come to a show - cheer your corps on. Do something productive for your drum corps rather than bash it and the management. CALL ME: 917 528 9340 - - I am here to listen to your suggestions or comments. The Rochester Crusaders would like to thank all competing drum corps for your dedication in making the Drums Along the Owasco a success. All Corps management and members - we truly appreciate how you made this event happen. THANK YOU! Here is a run down of the show day - 8-9am - Lining fields 9am-10am - rehearsals began at Mynderse Academy and East Auburn Middle School 11am- The sky gets dark - corps warned to prepare 11:30am- Lightning Strikes! Rain comes pounding down! - David is nervous as drum corps scatter to their cars and trucks 1:00pm- Corps are back on the fields 2:00pm - Major storm moves back into the area 2:30pm - Plan B? Do we have a show outside or in the auditorium? 3:00pm - panic attack 1 Rain stops. Clear skies - 1.5 inches of water on the stadium field 3:30pm- Decision that Corps Directors/Admin will meet on the 50 yrd line at 6pm to determine indoor or outdoor show 4:00pm-5:59pm - panic attack 2 - (and dinner) 6:00pm- Corps management on the 50. The Show will go on - Corps warming up in the parking lot 7:00pm- Show starts. Mayor addresses the public. Amazing national anthem by Crusaders soloist with Auburn SK American Legion 8:45pm- Host Corps, Crusaders take the field. Lightning in the distance appears to be getting closer- panic attack 3 - Crusaders perform. Great job! 9:00pm- Going to be a drum major retreat only. St Joes perform Crowd loves the show! 9:30pm- DM Retreat. 9:45pm- Brigs perform victory concert in parking lot Brigs take 1st place. Congrats to our friends at Fusion.
