Update: Just called and got my tracking number and it states my Blu-ray from the Fan Network was delivered today ... to where my father USED to work. We used to have stuff sent there that could not be sent to a PO Box. I thought I had updated that address last year, but I hadn't. Oh well. They held onto it for me and I'm going to go pick it up in a bit. And for the person asking where we live, I am in North Carolina.

This has always been my only real problem. I never get an e-mail telling me the products have shipped ... whether from the Fan Network or from the standard Store. I always call in and get my tracking information. I wish they were set up to just have that e-mailed out to customers. I tried calling the office today to see if they had a tracking number for the Blu-ray I ordered from the Fan Network ... got a message saying they were closed. It's within their business hours, so I'll try again later.

I have not gotten my Blu-ray from the Fan Network yet. When I called on Monday (the day I got the DVD's from the bundle I ordered), they told me I should have it by the end of the week.

I got my DVD's today ... no Blu-ray. I did order the Blu-ray by upgrading to Live+Blu on the FanNetwork, but I was hoping they would see it's going to the same address and combine it with the DVD's. I've had to call the last two years to get that done so I guess I should've this time. Oh, well. :-p

Not quite sure what's going on with everyone else's ... but I haven't been charged any additional and my order is still showing up in the store as "in progress." I'll probably call to get the tracking numbers or see if they can combine the Blu-ray I ordered through the FanNetwork with the DVD Bundle if it hasn't already left their facility.

So, the 2013 CDs came in the mail for me today and I had to resurrect this thread to say that Crown sounds AMAZING on it! It's like being back at LOS again! Not only can you feel the Corps kicking it up another notch, but you can actually feel the audience willing Crown to win! All that's left to say is this: #purplepantsband #purplepantschamps #threepeatott Congrats again, Crown!!! Well deserved!!!

The last three years, I've ordered the Blu-ray through the FanNetwork and ordered the DVD/CD Bundle of Top 12 DVD, Everyone else DVD and the CD through the store. Last year, I called DCI and they worked out shipping them all together at the same time. Before I started getting Blu-rays, I ordered the same DVD/CD Bundle through the store. I do it this way because it's cheaper since you get free shipping on the Blu-ray when bought through the FanNetwork. :) I started that in 2011 because they actually ended up offering it for like $70 extra after the season instead of $110 extra for the Live+Blu. I also bought the 2009 Blu-ray at 2011 World Championships and the 2010 Blu-ray at 2012 World Championships so I could get caught up as I didn't have a Blu-ray player prior to 2011. I've listened to the CD's and they sound INCREDIBLE! I just listened on my new iMac through my EarPods and it's sounds like the best recording ever. :-D

And it's coming earlier than normal! I just received my preordered CD's! While I am excited that I already have my CDs, I do find it strange that they sent these out separately from the Blu-rays and DVDs, but glad that I have my CDs now! Anyone else have theirs yet? Any idea why they sent out so early? I do want to say that I also loved that they added shipping to the price this year and went ahead and took it from our accounts instead of us having to remember that it will be taken out when it's shipped. That was very handy. :)

Yeah, right after the percussion feature while the brass and pit have that massive run before the "Shout Chorus."

They had to cut out about 1:15 of the show right after the opener due to rights issues. That little percussion feature was taken out. I never knew what it was myself because I was lucky enough to get my DVD's and CD's from the first batch. I've known about the cuts since 2008, but just didn't know what was lost until I watched the Champions vol. 2 Blu-ray and compared it to the DVD I got from the first batch made in 2008.

I won't assume that those are the only cuts until I get the Blu-ray in hand. LOL! I just know that things can change. Look at 2008. DCI didn't know about the problems with Phantom's show until after the first batch of DVD's were created and ready to be shipped. I do want to say that it feels like there are fewer rights issues, so far, this year than in past seasons. So, that's good.

I will do a more full prediction later, but I predict that either Crown or Santa Clara will take home the Gold next year with the other taking Silver. As Pat61 stated, Crown has proven that they can win, even with a lower Drum Score than they'd want, and I agree that talent level is going to spike next year. I also feel like Vet retention of non-ageouts will be high as well. With a well written show, I could see Crown repeating. Santa Clara has been underscored in recent years, imho, so it was good to see them .1 from the Bronze this year. That being said, I think they really have a shot at it next year with vet retention and if they do another similar show. This show as just magical.

Yes, the morning of Prelims. Here's hoping for not only the standard Brass only ... but the percussion only as well. I missed that last year. :(

Could be that DCI had no choice ... unions and whatnot. I honestly have no clue if that's true or not, but I can buy their reasoning.

Even if there was a drum judge, to lose that spread between them and BD, Crown's drumline would've had to have scored more than 1.6 points lower than BD. Even on a bad day, 1 is the largest spread I've seen between Crown and the top Drum Score. So, still would've been a win regardless. Just saying. :)

Incorrect. In 2008 Phantom was in third or fourth going into Atlanta ... and they won. Nothing is over until the last corps performs on Finals Night.

While that would be incredible financially for me (I'm getting married next year and hoping my new bride and I can go together next year), I don't think that's what it is. The problem with DCI being at LOS in 2014 is no longer an issue. They will be at LOS next year from what I've heard. That's what Michael Boo said a long time ago.

He didn't tell me what was being changed, but when I told him I was hoping for that, he said he hoped for the same thing.

They had pink and white for a while, then red and blue, then cream, black and gold. Star Alumni Corps decided to put a bunch of those colors in their logo. Perhaps you can find a way to combine them?
