  1. I'd sure put it in the top 3 of difficult books this year
  2. different trains could be intriguing .....threnody....not so much
  3. don't alot of corps play quarter tones? un-intentionally lol
  4. wrong, Rick Valenzuela has ties with the Mafia, and if Blue Devils or anybody else besides phantom won that night, the judges would have paid with their knee caps. lol
  5. wow, he is at it again.... I was thinking WTF when I read this... but then I saw who the poster was and it made sense.
  6. the guy who arranged for them in 99/2000!!! wouldn't that be something? who was that anyway? Is he doing anything now? why not if he isn't?? if they got him back AND Myron Rosander recovered and went back to them.... I would be a happy person
  7. I would disagree with 2001, I honestly thought they should have gotten 2nd, possibly third...like seriously... 02 I would not dispute though, that show was groundbreaking, like it or not.
  8. REALLY?? I've never seen the movie, and the show made more sense than any other story-line show I've seen...
  9. ok who will agree with me. I'm pretty sure I am unbiased, as I marched in one of the other big dogs (who's show I hated this year so dont look at the banners in my sig, they arent there :p ) and competed with both of these corps. Blue Devils were hands down better than PR in Vis. Feet, vis ensemble, and guard. Phantom was hands down better than BD in drums, music ensemble and GE which was not even close, and keep in mind GE has the most worth in the scoring system. I don't remember how scores went for GE but my honest feeling is that BD couldnt touch PR in music GE and should have been close with vis GE. Dev's drill was better, but pr's show...if you saw it you understand the visual GE. Brass can go either way depending on your preference, I prefered Regiments sound this year, but BD won it which is fine. so vis/guard vs GE, ensemble music and drums sorry GE and music wins therefor, PR deserved the win, is any of that completely out of line? don't think so, thats how I see it, and that's how most people I know (instructors, members in other corps, designers....) see it as well. Phantom was better, not by much, but they were. not only that but I will say that I thought they should have won semi's hands down, and maybe quarters. for the people who said the people around you all thought BD had a better show/should have won... REALLY?? REALLY?? wow... that's amazing, but cool i guess...
  10. yeah... HE'S the tool.... haha.... oook that's what I was thinking, lol
  11. well said brutha! no, he's just a phantom hater, has a beef with their souvie booth and now tries to say everything negative about phantom any chance he gets (just check his posts and it is completely obvious he has it out for them). I just ignore these people, for every corps theres atleast one 'that guy' who hates them and you can pretty much just ignore anything they say because it is all so stupid.
  12. 1. Holy Name Cadets - design staff gives them a show everyone will love (no narration), and they will perform the hell out of it. 2. Phantom - very talented and great show, but cadets have it 3. BD - clean clean again 4. Cavies - 4th? wtf?? will still be a great design 5. Blue Stars - got alot better 6. Crown - they are about as good as 08 but others are better 7. SCV - about the same deal 8. Madison Scouts - they are back...ish? 9. bluecoats - because 10th is too low for them 10. Glassmen 11. Boston 12. Crossmen I would like to add that I can say with 100 percent certainty that the results will not even be close to this, as I am not God.
  13. nope, i think the results were right on. bd and phantom couldn't have been closer finals night, I actually thought phantom was much better than BD in semi's tho.
  14. hahaha (talking about cavies).. was definitely championship worthy though. haha 7th place
  15. YES IT'S TIME TO PUT DCI ON BLU-RAY FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!!!.... name cadets?!
  16. yep, that is the version I was talking about, thanks dudes. may email bocook to see if I can get/buy the arrangement, I'm sort of intimidated tho, haha
  17. hope not, the guard has added so much to their programs the last couple of years
  18. I remember at finals week in 2001 hearing cadets and cavaliers mixed horn arc play an arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner and thought it was very nice. I also remember hearing pioneer play the same arrangment at Belding Michigan in 2004. Does anybody know how I can possibly get the arrangement, or know who arranged it? Anybody march one of those corps those years and remember? any help will be much appereciated.
  19. I'm actually arranging that right now for...... someone :)
  20. (sans 'I'm with') bluestars show never struck me as a boston show.... did you get beat by these two corps this year?
