  1. JEEZ...I never knew you were such a fan of horticulture... GO SCOUTS!!!!!
  2. Nola Jones is tough. She is a great judge with good perspective and great insight on what your program will need to advance and succeed. I see her on a regular basis in BOA and my state's indoor circuit. Great feedback and very informed in the marching arts. very well trained and respected amongst those in DCI, WGI, etc....
  3. all mouse use will be right click lead
  4. LIKE All DCI world, open, and all age corps SHOWS I DON'T LIKE The Wiggles (wierd dudes, my niece makes me watch them) American Idol.....Idol.....really? So You Think You Can (Flop Around On The Stage) Dance Scrubs...that JD character is just over the top... Bad Girls.... btw, my wife watches the last three, that's why I know I don't like them...
  5. indeed.... let the men of madison and their expert staff worry about what they need to do... GO SCOUTS!!!!!
  6. From what I am witnessing at the high school level the TRIAD has caused color guard groups to move away from weapon fundamentals and spent cosiderable more time on body. One of my fellow directors at my H.S. is a Cavies rifle from the late seventies/early eighties and he kills our girls on rifle and flag technique and fundamentals before they move to the lower half...ot os starting with the younger kids not getting the Basics tought at an early age
  7. Drum corps is not a BOA contest (ie. no mass audience wave participation). Don't treat the crowd response as an aggresive act towards "Timmy" in corps X or Y. It's a musically based athletic experience with devoted and competive fan bases. No need to WORRY or POST about your childs safety. He has 140+ other members that would take a sop to the head for him/her and a staff that would go even further for their protection. Your young adult is in the hands of mature and responsible educators that are aware of your young adults every move. Relax and enjoy the accomplishments of your young adult...
  8. Anyone heard any news coming out of the Madison camp? Am I correct in hearing that Mr. Williams and Mr. Barrera are back with the group and if so does anyone know what is going on? There seems to be a common thread with more than one of the show reviews that the guys are tired at performances. Kind of concerning. Not complaints or conspiracies, just questions and observations. Feel free to update and enlighten with news of what's going on with the guys. Kind of out of the loop in Mississippi... GO SCOUTS!!!!!(5 !'s...ha) MYNWA
  9. I don't know who's fault it was but, over $500,000 in the hole isn't chump change. Something was going on somewhere in the organization that wasn't up to par. Thank goodness for Mr. Spanos and all of the hard work he has done to relieve the corps of a large chunk of that debt and get our beloved corps where they are currently. ps go read the review in the Normal thread... GO SCOUTS!
  10. The only thing we need to be doing right now is supporting the young men working their tails off to get the crowd out of their seats and screaming. Let the teaching staff worry about everything else. GO SCOUTS!!!
  11. Kackley, remember Stillwater?? Lol I remember every breathing block being brutal...and then Fortney and I would always race in the sprinters line at the end...rediculous...i can proudly say that I never got sick after breathing block...not even after taco salad days...mmmm....taco salad and breathing block...
