  1. The $69 rate was for one year from the date of subscription. The new $39 rate subscription ends 4/30/2009.
  2. In viewing the Glassmen's latest offering on the Fan Network it occurred to me that it was a possible violation of the DMCA. Can DCI afford a lawsuit with RIAA? Personally, when I view a drum corps video I want to hear drum corps music, not the latest pop/rap. That's what I have a radio/cd player for.
  3. What about non-fast food, non-pizza restaurants? Would you recommend The Sahara or Galveston Steak House?
  4. The Cavies' string instrument that is played at the beginning of their show is a hammered dulcimer. While I would not consider this to be a percussion instrument myself, it is often placed into that category as it is struck. BDC has members as young as 8 so I would assume that there is no minimum age requirement. In fact, a field pass was done on BDC and one of their 8-year-old members has been a member for three years I think.
  5. No, the choppiness was on DCI's end. I had the same problem with the multi-cam but DCI wouldn't do anything about it. In fact, they insisted that there was not a problem. I had the resolution set to 800x600 for my TV.
  6. Only the top 12 Open and International class corps will be competing at finals. If you meant quarterfinals in Michigan City, then see the post above. Also these corps are inactive for 2008 so they will not be at quarterfinals either. HYPE Capital Sound Fever
  7. You forgot about all of their sponsors. I think INT has more sponsors than any other corps. That is why INT is so successful, albeit highly commercialized.
  8. Hmmm, his profile says he lives in Aruba, he picked up the drums in Baltimore, but he is starting a drum corps in Alaska. And yes, I am aware that people lie on their myspace page.
  9. I don't think that was Crown's intent but I don't have any personal knowledge about it. To me, it fits perfectly with the theme of the mad composer (in this case, drill designer) desperately seeking the perfect ending.
  10. I thought the North line train only ran between North Springs and Lindbergh Center after 8 p.m.? On weekends trains only run every 15-20 minutes so I am planning to leave Perimeter Center around 10:30 a.m. Just checked the MARTA website. Says that the North line is only operating betwwen North Springs and Lindbergh Center all weekend. Also trains running every 15 minutes. Check it out here.
  11. That's a four hour drive, so basically they will have no rehearsal time Saturday morning. I wonder why they are in Pigeon Forge. Are they going to Dollywood on Friday?
  12. That's where I am staying too. $69/night, no parking fees, no using gas, and no traffic headaches. I highly recommend to everyone driving into Atlanta, to go to the nearest MARTA station and ride the subway. It's clean, safe and headache free. I do have a question: is the Landmark Diner in Five Points within easy walking distance and would you recommend it?
  13. I agree, there are already bandwidth issues with this webcast. Stop streaming both formats!!!! Hopefully DCI will stop doing this as it is being abused.
  14. The full movie is available on the Fan Network under BD, Cavies, SCV and Madison. It is located under the "Off the Field" tab year 1977. I would not call this a documentary as it was produced for DCI by the Univ. of Wisconsin. It is more like a promotional film.
  15. I just checked that website and it states that the show is being held Aug. 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Bethel College.
  16. I have a question: DCI states that they have not received all of the music rights paperwork from Incognito (as well as Gold) and that is the reason they have not made the video from the Walnut show available on the Fan Network. Is this true? Your fans in the rest of the country would really like to see your 2008 show.
  17. SW = Sweden website Strängäs Unfortunately, it is in Swedish and does not have an English translation.
