Crown-much, much better. You actually may be able to clean this sucker.

Much cleaner than before. But one thing EQUAL SIZE STEPS BETWEEN DOTS. That alone could help a lot with the cleaning.

No offense, but a ratty sound from Troop. Expected a bit better.

I can see your point though. I'm not so surprised BD is near the top, rahter, that they are doing it in such dominating fashion, the very same fashion that happened for the last two years. Every corps has an exceptionally good season. But three in a row? That's impressive.

Same with you. The only year in recent memory BD wasn't in title contention was 05 and I'm going back aways into the late 90s. Any smart drum corps fan would expect them to be near the top, like they are most every year.

Yes, because all Bluecoats members and fans are chuckling loudly about how all other corps are beneath their mighty superiority........ No, that'd be really stupid. In before the close.

OK let's have a go. Cavies: This is my favorite Cavies show since 04. It seems like they're finally putting out the volume and the brass book that the great visual deserves. The "This is my rifle" moment is one of the coolest of the year. I think they have a lot of room to grow still with their current show, excluding late season changes. Could finish 1-5, srsly. Cadets: Good show from the Cadets. It's cute, but in a playful way, so I like it. All the brass stuff I enjoy, even though I'm surprised they didn't use as much stuff from Babes in Toyland as I thought they might. I think less might be more for the Cadets this year. I don't think they can win, but they'll do fairly well. Bloo: Is it me or does Bloo just sound p##### this year? It might be the music but it just sounds like they're saying to the judges "You didn't like 07? 08? 09? Well try this on for this for size!" I didn't know how to feel about this show at first, but I watched it more, and wow, it's one of my favorites this year. Best use of synth (well the best use would be no use......) this year. Crown: Their dirt is gonna kill them. I like Crown's show this year, more than 08 or 09, but I can't see them cleaning it. And the last 4 minutes....wow. You can't get away with that in late July. I only say this because Crown is pretty consistently one of my most entertaining shows for the past couple years. I don't know what to say, because I love their shows, and don't want to take out the firehose. Here's to a big cleaning fest the next couple weeks. PS, the leg stuff in Danzon is pushing the limits for what is tasteful body movement IMO BD: This show baffles me. Sometimes I watch it and I like it and other times I'm just shaking my head. I'll see the very beginning with the corps mimicking the guard onto the field and think that's cool....then see them turn a diagonal in front of they mirrors and shake my head. The brass book is ok with til about halfway through then they absolutely lose me. That being said nobody has better marching technique than BD, and they sound great on the Kings. I realistically can't see anyone catching them this year.

All the corps are just wonderful and lovely and nothing is bad about any of them and I love drum corps.

Here's one. Any discussion on this can ONLY end well.

I'm getting ideas.....and if it is what I think it is (knowing the field layout of LOS fairly well) it could be one of my favorite moments of the year.

What about home shows? It's pretty easy to say corps get a louder reaction closer to home rather than farther away.

I've watched some videos on a certain site of BD's show and.......gasp....... I think there might be more to this show than previously said by me. I might even......like it. Guess everyone deserves a Sec2nd Chance! Tip your waitresses I'll be here all week.
