Southern percussion placement (shocking)
HBD replied to CCBD05's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
Looks like you caught us!!! We a have a "special" meeting in September in a undisclosed room in New Jersey with just the northeast corps management just to make sure we screw the southern drumlines during the next season. ####, You got us figured out finally Jay Bush -
Exactly Dave! Most of the people on DCP need to go to the clinic next spring it seems See you soon Jay
-
Wait till next season!
-
WOW, Jeff Mitchell is alive and well. Miss talking to you! Jay
-
Thank you for the kind words Charlie, I always look forward to your "take" on the corps, Good or bad. It was nice to see you this weekend as always. Jay Bush ps, Charlie taught me as a young lad in the Muchachos many years ago. He was the voice of reason then as he is now and he made quite an impression on that 16 year old rookie bass drummer!

Lets try this one more time in english.

No DCA Finals Post-Retreat/Parking Lot Run-Through
HBD replied to taters's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
What you people dont understand is the initial post on this thread was WORD for WORD an OFFICIAL email sent to the DCA directors and business managers that was meant for DCA directors and business managers ONLY in regards to the ordinance passed down from the POLICE and the MAYORS office. Im sure in given time this would have been addressed on this newsgroup in one form or another BUT the executive committee sent this confidential email to DCA managers only. There is a way to do business and a way NOT to do business and posting this email on a public forum is NOT the way to do business. My response to this thread was in disgust over reading a confidential post republished on a public forum. As far as not being able to play in the lot after finals, Oh well, rules are rules and the Bushwackers will follow those rules. -

I have a little experience in the activity, maybe not as much as you do though. -
No DCA Finals Post-Retreat/Parking Lot Run-Through
HBD replied to taters's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
This was sent out to corps directors as official DCA business, This is really in bad taste reposting this to the general public. Not everything needs to be posted on DCP. This whole thread should be shut down. -
DONT leave Rochester wothout having a "garbage" or Trash" plate from any of the dozens of eateries serving them, Nick Tahoes is the famous place for these.

Question about corps housing on tour
HBD replied to sydstranda's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Why are you yelling at us? -
I read YOUR post and fully understood what you meant and I will repeat that BOTH organizations ARE doing more than "talking" about the future of our 2 circuits and ways we can work together in the future. Notice I said "circuits", Not "drum corps". "Drum Corps" will always be "Drum Corps", Its NOT always about the 11 minutes the fans see on the field that makes it such a special activity. Some people will understand what I mean and others wont. See everyone in Scranton!
-
Just because it is not posted on this forum doesnt mean these discussions havent already started. Your assumption about both circuits refusing to talk to each other is WRONG.

EXACTLY Bush is looking in to the possibility of sponsoring 2 shows in 2011 to help celebrate our 30th season, hopefully bringing the total up to 5 DCA shows in New Jersey next year. -
and that is even MORE depressing.
-
Bushwackers have a complete set of Bb brass for sale, available after Labor day weekend.
-
Looks pretty depressing
-
Absolutely not, That would be too logical.

Not entirely true Andy, The Jersey Shore Inv is co-sponsored by the Toms River East Band boosters and we have a corporate sponsor that signed on last week, The Huntington Learning Centers Inc. Plus the Cabs show in 2 weeks is co-sponsored by the Kiwanis. So WHATS your point other than throwing cold water on this thread? SO, Back on topic please, Spend the day on the beach, enjoy some GREAT drumcorps that night and head to the boardwalk for some great late night snacks. Come to the Jersey shore Invitational in Toms River NJ this Saturday!!!!!!!! -

YES Mike, it is a spectacular venue for a drumcorps show. I was at the showsite Weds evening with the band boosters and I was saying to them how perfect the entire facility is set up for a drumcorps show. A great lineup of corps and the boardwalk no less than 4 miles down the road for a late night snack after the dust settles, What more could you ask for?
