Ive said it before and know it 1st hand CAvies, whom I love are people pleasers and play all sides of the fence...we will see. As far as these directors. Most people who dont frequent DCP dont evenknow About all the G7 stuff and if it wasnt leaked noone would probably know. MAYBE THATS HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ( NOT LEAKED) so it could be worked all out. Anyway theres alot of love out here for those corps and the others.

Well...lol....not quite but i know what you are trying to say. "IF" someone recovers a mistake , the mistake can not count against them but it goes far beyond the guard judge, the error could cause other things in other captions, not so forgiving

I think its a good thing to have a Madison and a BD in a show...... DIVERSITY. I would hate to watch 12 of either But we have heard here so many times how corps are all looking alike BUT now heres a difference but not exceptable?,,,Oh Yeah melody, toe tappin. I say bring even more diversity on. YEAH for both of these corps.

I said it in another thread but I will again the perfect score does not mean perfect by no means just the better one on a given night. Kids will talk about the perfect score but its not that at all inANY caption when you work with just so many numbers. Some say wellll start lower. I wanna see how corps like it from maybye 9th down in the 70s becaue thats what would happen.it really is more about spreads, but we do like those numbers dont we in this activity.

The number doent mean perfect at all just the best of the night. Judges, are only working with so many numbers. People, including kids will talk about the perfect score but it really doesnt mean that.

I would love to see Madison up 2 more spots because I really think they deserve it, from design and espeecially performance,if not 2 spots ( which I dont think will happen) at very least 1 spot for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO GET it

I bet nothing will happen. Like in everything directors will seach out what they can get in way of the best. Producing is the name of the game if people want to admit it or not. I dont hire people based on if they are Democrat or Republican beliefs and the nature of those roots are or can be very different from mine. Designers will cross back and forth from G7 to non g7...IF there is a G7 at all.

HMMMMMMM,,,DCI without these guys...my question would be is how long do you think it will take until the NEW hopkins emerges...........maybe 10 minutes I suspect.....lol

I dont believe DCI and DCA are totally exclusive of each other, maybe different rules but there is or has to be crossover between both. Staffs, many are the same so beliefs cross over, many members also. There are many cross over reasons and IMO so will electronics ( usually takes a while for DCA though) You talk of many cool things for kids to learn or be part of but you are also thiking 40 years ago and thik that can be recreated. If you really feel that strong then go for it. I personally dont want to rain on your parade at all and do agree kids missed out on alot we back then offered but I dont think anything can be recreated. It's a totaly different time. Going back to me is impossible. I do want to say though with all the passion of the past and being part of it I also would have loved to be part of the pagentry, professional approach, show design, theatrics of todayBut of course not pay 3 grand to do it...lol

I dont know why this just hit me now but looking at the rankings and actually seeing the names of the corps, it was a litttle sad to see only 5 corps names that were part of the 70s or early part of DCA,,,On the other hand good to see new growth.......I guess its a good thing new blood arrived. Still a bit sad not to see so many hoousehold names within our community.

Love Madison...not usually a fan of BD although I like them alot this year. Funny thing though with audiance reactions when something different is on the field 10 years from now people on DCP , new and old will talk about BD2010 and how they were the best thing since sliced bread,..Yeah Yeah debate the comment all you want , Those willing to admit it the same thing happened with Star in93 everyone ,or many hated them.."it wasnt Drum corps" and now you would think it was the 2nd coming of the messiah...lol.....just human nature ,,passionate as it may be. Now MAdison, Kick up it up, would love to see you up a spot,,,it's closeeeeeeeee
