Looks like a continuation of a solid brass staff! Cant wait to hear what they bring in 2010

Does anyone feel like they will be improved in the 2010 season with a year of experience under their belts? I think its likely. Also I was wondering what the attraction to electronic drum kits vs. acoustic was.... I play brass. lol

I'll go first, IMO the way the Blue Stars used the piano sound throughout thier show was really cool, if felt like it added a cool voice, especially to the jazz section.

After a year of Synths in the Pits of many corps I'm interested to hear yall's opinions on the new instrument. Who do you think used them the best? The worst? Why?

From everything I hear the brass staff there will be staying around, adding in some new positions i think though. As always nothing is for sure until it hits the website.

It sounds like you wanna get it during the summer? IMO thats probably not the best idea, maybe a week or two before all days start, that way you have some time to heal before exposing your new wound to DCI lol

I think one of the most interesting ones i've seen was a cavalier tattoo that pictured the skin being torn back to reveal gears underneath. A friend of mine who marches crossmen has a tattoo of bones on his back in a kind of phantom form... hard to explain, but really cool.

I dont think there's too much of a positive buzz or "aura" about the corps right now. I agree with Tusayan that they're gonna need to stabalize and try and build something out of completely new and inexperienced rookies. I feel a top ten prediction... anything above 12 or 13 really, is something that is a bit far fetched. Personally I'll wait to see exactly what kind of talent draw this staff will have, I think most potential rookies would rather go somewhere more local than fly from all over the country to a 15th place corps

Hell lets be honest, my knees are killing me after just a few years of straight leg technique. Wh can blame them, even if it did look cool.

If people were ment to walk with straight leg technique then we wouldnt have knees... thats why its a marching style. no one ever said drum corps are people who walk around the field in time
