Looks like Vanguard went with green pants this year; I approve. Glad it wasn't white (I've never been able to get into white pants) Also, DIGGIN ON THAT DRUM FINISH!

First and foremost, I have to say, I am not a BD fan...I mean yes- There are BD shows over the years that I have enjoyed and a lot of times, they do put on quite the show. But overall, they are not my corps of choice However, regardless of whether I like them or not, I really do not care for their uniforms this year. They look sort of....tacky...to me. Maybe it's a bad picture but I just feel like there's a lot going on and I don't like a lot of it. However like someone else said- they are VERY good at designing their color schemes and perhaps when I see it on the field from a distance, my opinion will change. And just so you know that I'm not just hating on BD. I am a big phantom fan, but I don't like their new uniforms this year either :) Just my two cents

I'm very interested to see what Paul Rennick does at SCV. His style/technique at PR is completely opposite from SCV's style/technique. I'm sure this will be great though, I just hope SCV doesn't bail on any of their traditions and they better not switch do dynasty!!!

Michael Giacchino's music from Lost. I'm actually considering writing a high school show with this music- Too awesome. But really, all of his music is awesome- I'd love to see someone do it. I'm also a huge fan of original music. Seems like it usually only happens in open class but every now and then a world class corps does it like Blue Stars 2009 and I think Cavies 2008? Anyway, I'd love to see some original music out there too

Agreed. I liked the sound of Phantom's drums better when they were pearl but they've made the dynastys sound pretty decent.

I really like the idea of letting some of the top Open Class Corps into World Class quarterfinals. It would be a logistical nightmare...I think....but it was done before.. However I will say- Either I'm getting a better eye/ear for dirt or I feel like the quality of Open Class corps' performances is deteriorating. This is coming from someone who has only marched open class too by the way. I'm not sure what it is, and maybe it is that I'm just getting better at spotting imperfections, but I feel like the open class corps now just aren't as solid as they used to be....even by just a few years back. Oh one other theory is that when World Class switched to 150 members, this shrunk the number of people who went to Open Class corps and thus began a bit of a deterioration of quality in OC. Just some thoughts! Don't mean to offend anyone. :D

Sorry if this should be in the marketplace...I couldn't decide. Feel free to move this if necessary :) I'm looking for a (one) black Yamaha decal (fork logo) for a 26" bass drum. We have two for every other bass drum but one of them for this drum has gone missing. My question is, does anyone know where I could find these? I've been looking all over online and am having trouble finding them. Thanks for your help, Jeff

what happened?

Not targeting anyone, I'm just making a general statement. Just because people say they don't like BD and point out the downfalls of their show doesn't make anyone a hater. I'm gonna be honest....that show isn't going to entertain anyone who's not a hardcore bd fan or really into modern jazz....thats all.
