  1. vanguard is good this yr and it is nice to have them back in the area of the top five. but imo I don't see their percussion finishing better then 6 behind bd crown cadets cavies and phantom and possibly coats which I believe will ultimately keep them in 5th. just out of curiosity, does anyone kno who the last tchampion was who has had a percussion score out of the top 5 j/w
  2. but that wasnt head to head. the last time they competed head to head crown was .5
  3. that would be friggin sweet would love to see the results 1 Crown 2 Cadets (def my two fav shows this season) 3 Devils 4 Cavies 5 SCV 6 Coats
  4. yea i agree, but they are definately capable. ive heard that they have gotten quite a bit accomplished in their last three rehearsal days going into today and my brother has told me that they have been playing some of the best that they have played all year. im extrememly excited to see him again and see how it all plays out. hope for good performances from all groups. leave it all on the field Go CROWN!!!
  5. I definitely think that they should have been on the list instead of vanguard. don't gert me wrong vanguard is good this yr and it is nice to have them back in the area of the top five. but imo I don't see their percussion finishing better then 6 behind bd crown cadets cavies and phantom and possibly coats which I believe will ultimately keep them in 5th. just out of curiosity, does anyone kno who the last tchampion was who has had a percussion score out of the top 5 j/w
  6. totally second that. its just not a vanguard show if they don't have the V in there
  7. no definately not, they are an amazing group, i just dont believe that like the groups listed above they have a show with the capability demand wise or visually to be able to potentially pass bd. but they are still a D* good drum corps my vote was crown because thats who i would also most like to see pass bd would be be ok with cadets winning. their show is equally awesome
  8. From DCI.org Drum Corps InternationalÕs World Championship Quarterfinals will once again bring the snap of the snare and boom of the bass drum into movie theaters in its exclusive, annual event Big, Loud & Live 6. This highly anticipated competition will be broadcast LIVE from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to nearly 400 select movie theaters on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT.
  9. thanks for the review, very imformative and was just a good one. much appreciated. i am totally excited to see what three or four days of rehearsal can do for the top 5. extremely excited for QF come thursday. i will def have my large bucket of popcorn drowned with butter and a huge smile on my face as it will be no doubt awesome
  10. going to be hard to tell until quarterfinals get here and they are all once again performing head to head on after another with the exact same judging panel. i mean judges see things differently on a night to night basis as is. after speaking with my brother he personally felt that thier (Crown's) performance was much better last night than it was saturday. the way things have been going with the flip flopping between them and cadets i think that perfromance order may play an small (very small, but some) factor good luck to all groups cant wait to watch it live on the big screen and then again live in person come saturday.
  11. heck yes. can't wait to watch this with one very large bucket of popcorn. going to be one awesome night of drum corps. Go Crown!
  12. i have thought all along that cadets and crown would both have the shows to eventually pass bd. i think their shows are alot more demanding and even exciting and better sounding at times. will be very interesting to see how the next week plays out
  13. congrats to crown, was nice to see someone else hit the 95 range. was a little shocked at BD's scores from friday night, i was expecting them to break into the 96 range. with 95's at both Atlanta and Allentown is it possible that they have plateued a bit? not saying that they wont score any higher the rest of the season just saying based on the last week of scores. but thanks to all groups for an awesome weekend of drum corps and to crown for making the last week of the season very interesting. all of a sudden BD doesnt look like that lock we all thought they would be
  14. ok gotcha. nuch appreciated aand thanks for the clarification. this will for sure be a very exciting week of drum corps. Go Crown!!!
  15. can they? ABSLUTELY will they? that is yet to be seen or determined. but that will be one hell of a finals week if they do. however I would love to see them pull ahead of bd regardless if they break 99.15 or not
  16. lol I totally gwt it because of the crown in the name. but beingfrom kentucky and the place in which bourbon is known for, I must say that I prefer my woodford reserve and four roses over ny kind of other whiskey. but crown royal is bad either. congrats to crown. thought they erw very deserving of their score. anxious to see if they stay that close to bd from here on out
  17. yes I apologize. my brother marches for crown and once I saw the scores I got a lil excited and had one too many shots of bourbon.
  18. absolutely. now that thwave hot the 95 range they are actually nipping at the heels o bd. this s gonna be one jell of a final week to the season CMFC!!!
  19. glad to hear blue stars on field. hopefully they are all healthy and have a wonderful performance. CMFC!
  20. 1-Crown 2-Blue Devils 3- Cadets 4-Blue Knights 5-Cavies 6-Blue Stars 7-Phantom 8-Boston 9-Glassmen 10-SCV
