Cathy, SDCA is already an organization successfully doing what you are attempting to do. I have read that there is a region in your neighborhood. I'd like to see the two organizations work together. Why don't you contact them?
No sorry..the arena dude is right. I saw it at a madison scout open house a few years ago. There was a display of many note books spread across three or four tables. these books had copies of all of the score sheets since I think the 50's. I looked at 68 and saw the royal aires flag penilty listed. without that penilty they would have won. If the madison scouts still have their open house go there and check it out.
I was at DCA in Rochester NY and saw DCI's Dave Eddleman talking to SDCA's Chris Ferara. What is going on between the two organization? Anything? or was it just friendly conversation? Anyone hear anything about this?
It doesn't look to me that DCI is G-7. George Hopkins is G-7. George is trying to pull the G-7 away just like Star of Indiana becoming "blast". DCI will lose them but still have OC corps.
I don't know how you read all that in to it. I read that If there was no other way to go SDCA would give the OC a playing venue also I read that the OC would dictate what THEY wanted and I doubt they would want what they are getting right now!
I think the G-7 thing is G-Hopkins. (coincidentally has 7 letters in his last name .. LOL) If George is successful in separating G-7 they will go on their own just like Star of Indiana did with "blast"; and DCI will continue with what is left.
I've been watching...where are all of the corps that were interested last year?? I remember reading about a lot of interest and thought there would be a show or two out here by now.
Just a heads up..I think to be in the DCA mini show you need to currently have or had a corps that participated in a DCA show. I remember the Vanguard Senior corps in competition..and the Royal Airs played in the Alumni show.
