  1. I was late to the Countdown because of some car trouble, and I unfortunately missed the first 2 corps. I was wondering if someone could tell me which corps I missed. I saw the Cavaliers, the Holy Name Cadets, Carolina Crown, and the Blue Devils. Who didn't I see, if anyone can remember?
  2. I don't know for sure, but I would think harmonicas would be okay.
  3. I'm heading to Jackson 10 in Jackson, Michigan.
  4. I'd be happy to. However, I'm going to have to give my priority to those who give me uniform designs in exchange. Let me know what you want included in your logo, and I'll get back to you.
  5. Okay, so there was this fellow who associated himself with "8two5 Productions," and he designed some wonderful uniforms for several corps here. But, in case you were unaware, it seems he has dropped off the face of the earth. I would very much like to have some uniforms designed, but I do not have the means to do so. That being said, I would absolutely love if someone would be so kind as to volunteer their time to design some for me. What would you get in return? Sadly, I can't offer much. However, I am told I design some pretty nice logos. I was recently asked to design a logo for Spartan Regiment, a brand new corps joining us for Season XIV. If you would like, I would be happy to design one for you as well.
  6. Does the corps "Satan's Legion" still exist on here? I have to say I find that quite offensive.
  7. That is a shame. The guy has some real talent here. I wonder what program he uses.
  8. Who is it that designs those uniforms, and would they be willing to make some designs for me?
  9. Sure, but Wisconsin isn't "The Great Lake State."
  10. That is an excellent question. You see, if you've ever been to the small town of Addison, or any other adjacent communities for that matter, you will find it is possibly the most redneck area of the northern United States. Not so much in behavior, but in atmosphere. I can't exactly explain it, you'd have to go there to find out. Also, I have always been fascinated by the history of the American Civil War from the Confederate perspective. And finally, the town of Addison, where I attended high school, has a very rich marching band tradition, so this fantasy corps is somewhat of a salute to that.
  11. I actually considered doing a "Wizard of Oz" program this year. Good thing I didn't.
  12. WOO HOO! Confederate Regiment was mentioned!
  13. I would have never thought to make a drum corps show based on "Lost." I'm not sure whether to congratulate you on your creativity or check you into a mental hospital.
  14. Just curious....Why is your corps called "The Great Lakers" when they aren't based in Michigan, the Great Lake State?
  15. This is a very Phantom-esque show. But that's hardly a bad thing.
  16. Confederate Regiment's brand new Division III corps, Easy Company is presenting a sinister portrayal of Arthur Miller's play, "The Crucible." The Crucible tells a story set during the frightening era of the Salem witchcraft trials. This is a very ambitious program, especially for a Division III corps. However, Confederate Ensembles have created Easy Company to both compete in Division III and to be used as a conceptual testing ground in order to design shows that may be used by Confederate Regiment in the coming years. And for the record, I have no idea what music to use for this show yet. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  17. That is a good one, but I haven't made any final decisions yet. I'm also trying to decide whether or not I want to keep it with the 2009 film soundtrack or use music from other films as well. While some hardcore Star Trek fans didn't like the new Star Trek film, I think we can all agree the score was a stroke of genius.
  18. The Confederate Regiment Cadets are taking to the field the blockbuster summer hit from 2009, "Star Trek" in their 2010 program entitled "The Final Frontier." Contrary to what you may think, this is not a classic Star Trek show. This show is actually intended to reflect the 2009 film. Selections will be announced soon.
  19. I can keep both, but I don't particularly like the first one.
  20. How do you like it when compared to the one in the first post?
  21. I'm afraid I don't follow. And why would you schedule this before the season was even thought of?
  22. What do you think of this new graphic I just finished? Should I keep it? Trash it? Make it better? Any response is appreciated.
  23. The pieces from the film soundtrack have been selected and the show has been divided into four movements. Each movement contains excerpts from the following pieces. Mvmt. 1 I am the Batman Harvey Two-Face Agent of Chaos Mvmt. 2 Aggressive Expansion Like a Dog Chasing Cars And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad Introduce a Little Anarchy Mvmt. 3 Blood on My Hands A Little Push Always a Catch Watch the World Burn Mvmt. 4 A Dark Knight The fourth movement and closer opens with Commissioner Gordon's monologue quoted from the end of the film. Also, for this show, although it is all still concept and will ultimately remain that way, I envision one guard member dressed as Batman, one as The Joker, and the rest as The Joker's 'goons.' The actual corps would sort of reflect Batman's motions at times, but mostly just be something cool to look at and listen to.
