  1. You can view both uniforms here.

  4. More often than not, it seems like fans generally disagree with who the judges name champion. Here, we can set the record straight. In the above poll, you can choose from all of the runners-up from the last 25 drum corps seasons. Which runner-up was the best? There is also a second question you may answer, which includes all the 2010 Finalists who didn't win. Which one was the best? Also, I encourage all to submit any other corps from various years who didn't win and are not on the above list. Edit: By the way, I'm closing the poll on Saturday, March 5th, 2011. By your vote, the best Drum Corps show NOT to win, is Star of Indiana's 1993 program, "The Music of Barber and Bartók." The best show not to win in 2010 is The Cavaliers' "Mad World." No surprise there.
  5. 1. Cavaliers: I'm curious to see if the go back to their old style, or keep with this new one they've made for themselves with "Mad World." 2. Phantom Regiment: The title "Juliet" is a little vague, I mean, I have me suspicions, but still, it's pretty vague. 3. Madison Scouts: If it's half as good as 2010, I can't wait.
  6. A new corps has joined our ranks recently, and I would like to be the first to welcome them to DCPI. Won't you all join me in welcoming The Saints Drum & Bugle Corps? The Saints hail from Charleston, West Virginia, and are under the direction of Mr. Chris Bunner!
  7. The best looking Drum Corps Champion is...PHANTOM REGIMENT! This is very similar to a poll a posted a while ago. There are 8 drum corps to have ever won the DCI title. Which one looks the best? Voting will end Sunday, January 2nd, 2011.
  8. Due to a plethora of complications (and a failing memory on my part), I have been unable to release the new uniforms for Confederate Regiment until now. Better late than never, right? These were made by DCPI user DannyII.
  9. Here are the top 10 best looking corps uniforms of 2010, according to the poll that was recently taken, that can be found here: #10- Carolina Crown Carolina Crown's heavily untraditional uniform made the Top 10 with 8 votes (3.42%). #9- Boston Crusaders Oppositely, the Boston Crusaders' very traditional looking uniform made number 9 with 9 votes (3.85%). As soon as they added some white to the uniform, it really became quite classy. It's a nice look for them. #8- Blue Stars The Blue Stars made number 8 with 10 votes (4.27%). While many didn't like the new Blue Stars uniform, I loved it. Sure, it isn't blue, but it's a very nice, esthetically pleasing shade of gray. #7- Santa Clara Vanguard To my surprise, the Santa Clara Vanguard made number 7 with 15 votes (6.41%). I was extremely surprised at this outcome. I always thought the Vanguard was one of the sharpest looking corps out there. I even thought they could win this little contest. I guess I was wrong. #6- Bluecoats The Bluecoats took number 6 with 19 votes (8.12%). I'm sure this comes as no surprise, as the Bluecoats have made that modern look extremely sexy. #5- The Cavaliers The Cavaliers took number 5 with a solid 20 votes (8.55%). While this was my choice for the best looking corps of 2010, you people seemed to think otherwise. #4- Blue Devils The Blue Devils took number 4 with 23 votes (9.83%). It's kind of weird seeing the Blue Devils lower than first place in anything, isn't it? #3- Madison Scouts The Madison Scouts made the top 3 with a whopping 25 votes (10.68%). I loved the new (or old?) Madison Scouts uniforms. It was a look that only the Madison Scouts could get away with. If the Blue Devils walked onto the field with short sleeves, they'd get laughed out of the stadium. #2- The Cadets The runner up is none other than the classic look since 1934: The Cadets, with 28 votes (11.97%). I've never been a fan of The Cadets' uniform, but I'm a sucker for tradition. And the best looking corps of DCI 2010 is... PHANTOM REGIMENT! With 34 votes (14.53%), Phantom Regiment is the best looking corps of DCI 2010. This comes as no surprise, as Phantom Regiment's look has always been so elegant, so beautiful, and so simply stunning. Here's how everyone else did: 11. Troopers- 7 votes (2.99%) 12. Blue Knights- 5 Votes (2.14%) 12. Jersey Surf- 5 votes (2.14%) 14. The Academy- 4 votes (1.71%) 14. Crossmen- 4 votes (1.71%) 14. Glassmen- 4 votes (1.71%) 14. Pioneer- 4 votes (1.71%) 18. Spirit of Atlanta- 3 votes (1.28%) 18. Teal Sound- 3 votes (1.28%) 20. Colts- 2 votes (0.85%) 21. Mandarins- 1 vote (0.43%) 21. Pacific Crest- 1 vote (0.43%) 23. Cascades- 0 votes (0%) There was a total of 234 votes. Not a bad turnout. Thanks to everyone who voted. *Due to circumstances beyond my control, voters were allowed an extra hour or so to vote. It doesn't really matter, as the extra votes didn't change the overall result anyway.
  10. Just a reminder: Voting will end at 12:00am, December 18th. I will then post a new topic with all the results. I'm not going to bother posting any results for December 17th.
  11. Here are the results for December 16th, as of about 10:45pm: Phantom is still in the lead with an astounding 30 votes, with The Cadets surprisingly not far behind. Meanwhile, in the lower echelons, The Cavaliers and Blue Devils are still really neck-and-neck.
  12. I have Confederate Regiment's captions and tour all squared away now.
  13. Here is the results of Day 2, as of about 9:45pm: Well, Phantom Regiment is still in the lead (no surprise), but the Madison Scouts are still close behind. Still no love for the Cascades or Mandarins.
  14. OH YEAH! Now I remember the name. She was drum major in 1995 and 1996, if I remember correctly.
  15. After the first day of voting, I'm going to post the results of the day. These are the results (as of 8:00pm on December 13): It looks like Phantom Regiment is in the lead for now, with the Madison Scouts and Cavaliers close behind.
  16. That Phantom is the best sounding corps out there? I think we can all agree that they sound phenomenal.
  17. I just felt like doing this for fun: You have before you a poll, and all 23 World Class corps to choose from. It is up to all of you who stumble across this topic to decide who the best looking corps is. The tentative end for this little shindig will be Saturday, December 18th, 2010. When it's all said and done, I will post the results, with pictures of the Top 10 best-looking corps. Happy voting! This little shindig is over now. Phantom Regiment is the best looking corps of 2010. See the full results of the poll here.
  18. I think scores should be based entirely around an applause meter. Then the corps that are supposed to win will win.
