  1. Personally, I would be the happiest man alive if they brought "Jesus Christ Superstar" back.
  2. Fear not, for it isn't the kind of horns a corps uses that makes them great. Phantom Regiment uses Jupiter now, and they're still the best sounding corps around.
  3. Did Brent Becker design that uniform for you? Or did you get it off of his Deviant Art page?
  4. You expect Confederate Regiment to make sense? That's not what we're about.
  5. I'm actually moving to San Antonio for real.
  6. “You can go to hell. I’m going to Texas.” -Davy Crockett That’s right. Confederate Regiment is leaving Michigan after Season XV. Read the rest here.
  7. Corps Name: Confederate Regiment Corps Division: World Class Corps Hometown: Addison, MI www.drumcorpsfantasy.com username: losnickes 2nd half season tour option (US, Europe, Asia): Asia Homeshow site: East Lansing, MI
  8. I'm a bit confused...if I were to host the East Lansing show, which I would like to, does that mean I'd be hosting this 'Great Lakes Invitational' thing?
  9. Confederate Regiment will be the only corps competing out of the Confederate Ensembles organization for Season XV. However, Confederate Regiment is going to be performing a program that hits "close to home," so to speak. For Season XV, Confederate Regiment will be presenting a show that is completely built around the majesty of the deep South. We aren't trying to portray your stereotypical southern "hillbilly" nonsense that people commonly associate with the South. We're trying to portray the simple beauty of the scenery that one would see if they decided to venture down there. Our program for Season XV is entitled "Almost Heaven." "Almost Heaven" features a musical repertoire that showcases many popular Southern artists. Our musical selections are as follows: Pre-Show: Country Roads, Take me Home (chorale variant) Opener: Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd Country Roads, Take me Home by John Denver Ballad Part I: Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin Ballad Part II: Big Bad John by Jimmy Dean Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd Closer: Sweet Home Alabama
  10. Would it be possible to get a show in East Lansing, MI?
  11. You're probably right. Of course, it could turn out to be one of those "groundbreaking" shows. It'll be the first ever 3 hour-long drum corps performance.
  12. I just got an idea for a show concept, but I don't know how well it would translate to the football field. My idea was a drum corps adaptation of my favorite movie, "The Shawshank Redemption." This film, and the story it's based off of, are of great depth and symbolism. A lot of it is difficult to interpret on its own, and I can't imagine how one could make it work in a drum corps show. Does anyone have any ideas? I value anyone's input.
  13. They aren't that far away. It's not like these fictional fans wont be able to hear our fictional corps, anyway.
  14. That's the one. It's a pretty interesting piece of architecture, in my opinion.
  15. I have an idea for a venue in Japan. It's called the Hiroshima Big Arch, and as its name suggests, it is located in Hiroshima. I don't have pictures readily available, but I can tell you that it is HUGE.
  16. Hmm...I'm pretty content with 9th place for the time being. That's a lot better than last season.
  17. This may be a bit early, but I'm dreadfully bored right now, so I'm just putting crap on here. This is the tentative design for my new forum signature: Also, a little glimpse of Confederate Regiment's Season XV program, along with the programs for the upcoming Ypsilanti Vanguard and the Manitou Beach Brigade.
  18. Have you ever had a sudden inspiration that compelled you to think, "I have to do this." ? Well, I woke up a few days ago with this crazy idea that I wanted to start a drum corps. A real one, not a fantasy corps like I have right now. I might be in over my head, but before I know that for sure, I need to know what I'd be getting myself into. So, I thought I'd ask all of you a few questions. First off, what do I need? I need instruments (obviously), some kind of uniform, and a staff. I'd imagine that there is a lot more to it than that, but I don't have a clue what it is. With that, how do I get this stuff? More importantly, how does it get paid for? I'm actually sitting on an idea for uniforms that will cost roughly $130 a piece, which is a lot better than most uniforms. Even though $130 is cheap for a uniform, but that's still a lot of money. On top of that, I'm going to need instruments. Instruments are expensive, and I don't know how existing drum corps get a hold of them. Do they rent them? How does it work? How much does it cost? Then, there's the issue of transportation. What do other corps do, and how much is that going to cost? Am I missing anything?
  19. You made this? This is fantastic. We need to talk.
