I hope so...I loved Boston's show, but I heard Blue Stars are really good too...

Hey everyone! I really enjoyed the show last night. I'll give a quick review of each corps. Spirit - Let's say this, I am officially a Spirit fan. I'm wearing my new Spirit sweatshirt right now, that show was fantastic. So powerful and some really great drill, I was surprised that such great sound could come from a relatively small hornline! Great job by this corps, I really hope they can push into Finals this year. I'm rooting for you guys! Scouts - THEY'RE BACK! Caught these guys in the lot before the show started, and that brass is hot. Rhapsody in Blue was FANTASTIC! They don't need a show theme, this show speaks for itself. Without a doubt can break into top 8, I think. Boston Crusaders - I've always been a huge Boston fan, as I'm sure you guys might be able to tell...lol But this show was entertaining. The brass was in your face, the show theme was clear, and the little drum battle between the two snares was really comedic and very well done. I love this show! Phantom Regiment - They're making a comeback! First off, the visual program was so much better than last year. What an improvement in terms of drill! This was the most musical corps of the night, they drew every inch of musicality out of their veins to play this show. One snare drummer lost his stick, and a gutsy move was made by another snare to pick it up while going past it and throwing it back to the snare. Not sure if that worked or not...also, soloist was just awesome. The pressure must be huge to not have to march and nail that solo every night. He nailed it. Crown - They were missing a couple snares, so the drumline was a little dirty, as shown in the recap. But this show has potential. The opener was the best of the night, the brass was REALLY loud. The ballad was nice. I guess I got a little lost after that. But once they add in the changes (which I hear they have in store) this could win a championship. Cavies - THIS. SHOW. WAS AWESOME. By FAR my favorite of the night. It was so dark and powerful, and they pulled it off so well. 2nd movement had it all. Contra feature, drum feature, and jam session...this show has it all. I want it to be cleaned so bad so they score higher, they deserve higher scores. What a show, what a corps...my favorite of the night. Bloooooo - Drumline. Wow. This drumline is the best I've seen them. And the best I think I've seen period. From the start to the end this show had me on the edge of my seat, wanting more and more. The contras are just yes. The mellophone solo is just yes. This show is championship calibre as well. Sorry for the short reviews. Hope you enjoyed!

Without any scores, Cavies completely melted my face. Such a different style for them, and holy cow it worked very well. I enjoyed their show the most tonight. Next was Boston, and I'm a huge fan anyway, but their show was entertaining as always. My third favorite was Spirit. Definitely a fan of them now, they had a great, powerful show. I'm excited to see SCV stacks up against everyone else tonight.

This is REALLY cool. I feel really in control of my own destiny here, it's a great idea for a game. Absolutely amazing. I suggest anyone who is on the fence about this to DO IT!

@CoatsContraDad I have a friend at my high school who's sister is marching on the contra line this year. I've seen the show, and the contra feature. I will admit I started to tear up at how amazing it was.

Well someone has to say it. Because I'm confused right now. Very much so.
