On our free day in 2009, we were dropped off at one of the navy piers in San Fran. Me and a few other tuba guys decided we would hit up one of the sea food stands. While we were in line trying to decide what we wanted, a man who seemed to be on vacation with his family saw our corps jackets and approached us. He then gave us all $100 to split on food for the day, for all 5 or 6 of us. He said he had marched Florida Wave back in the day and knew it was sometimes difficult financially on tour. He told us stories of how their equipment truck was robbed one night. We took a picture with him, and then we enjoyed some delicious crab chowder two times that day. One of the coolest days i had on tour. Literally, it got very cold at night.

They will be missed dearly. We shall have a in honor of them before the San Antonio show tomorrow Edit: Fred is back on.... NEVERMIND

After basically spending the last two days with them, I am absolutely confident when i say this: I am not one bit worried about them peaking too soon. Period.

Didn't you hear? Show was canceled. Apparently only 4 corps showed up

I can think of two possible reasons this happened. The first being that Carolina Crown themselves are very serious about not having their full show recorded, which could be possible but seems highly unlikely. Second, and most likely, either the event staff or DCI wanted to empty the stands since this was at the show site and perhaps the show was close to starting. I know this happened with us at a show in California. Some people, not affiliated with our staff, went around the stands asking people to leave right before our run through.

Sorry guys, but i haven't been paying too much attention this season. Is this a full panel of judges?
