  1. 3.450 is a nice jump for Cascades. That makes a nice jump two shows in a row.

  3. Pretty sure it is not meant to deflate. The person sitting next to me said well I guess there is an end to that ball. I like Blue Knights and love they are one of the few corps to come to Washington. Just was so distracted by the ball. On the other hand was so happy to see Cascades are not using props this year!!! I am not big on props on the field.
  4. I am probably going to get a lot of grief about this but personally I find the big balloon ball Blue Knights drag around the field very distracting. I spent most of their show watching the ball waiting for it to pop and missed out on enjoying everything else that was on the field. It didn't help that by the end of the show it was half deflated.
  5. I love this comparison!!!! As a country we would never let this pass, why would we be ok with it in our favorite activity.
  6. 2012 Cascades the pit wore traditional Japanese happi coats.
  7. I love how positive this is! So refreshing after a wonderful season.
  8. This is what I would say to my child: "Never do anything you will regret for the rest of your life." Only you can answer if you don't march will you regret it. If the answer is yes then do what ever it is you need to so you can have that experience, and the rest of life will fall into place.
  9. hhhhmmm wonder if the bonehead realizes that the snare who is from Japan probably would not have spent the money to fly from Japan to Washington for every camp and to tour with them if he felt there was racism in the show. He also probably would not have brought things for the show back with him from Japan either. I would say the bonehead has no idea about Shinto either.
  10. Cascades introduced there new move in SA. Contra player back flips across the front of the contra line as they flip up there contras.
  11. My point was people complain about singing and voice overs on the field so using your logic they shouldn't have vocal in I&E cause it isn't old school drum corps. For the record I do not feel that woodwinds belong on the field or should ever become part of drum corps. ( I also hate seeing props and voice overs on the field). But I&E is separate just because DCI puts it on does not mean it should be only drum corps talents. It is designed for members to show off there talents and have a little bit of a break different from what they are doing on the field. You used dance as an example of what else shouldn't be allowed at I&E, but what Guard on the field does not include some aspect of dance into their drill? So once again by what you are saying because it is already part of drum corps it should be part of I&E?
  12. To be snarky..... Are you also afraid that by having vocals at I&E that will lead to singing and voice overs too?
  13. Thank you for catching that on video many people have been asking if someone got it on tape. Can't believe Greg dropped his stick and still beat it!
