  1. I said I would give updates, so here is what we now know. We retrieved the trailer and unloaded the equipment. I am happy to report that NO equipment was damaged in the accident! The trailer appears to be repairable, but are still waiting to see if insurance will cover it. In the meantime our fellow parade units at Melha have stepped up to the plate to help us cover the deductable on the truck, and expenses to get the trailer. (gas, tolls, and storage fees) We may even be able to fix the trailer. We are grateful for the support of our fellow Nobles! At this time we are still planning on hosting the Buglers Hall of Fame Springfield Regional on February 11, 2012. We look forward to seeing a lot of our drum corps friends on that day.
  2. Dear Star United: If you want to sound like the Boston Pops on the 4th of July, the howitzers are really important to have! Please make a note of it! Oh yah, HOLY S..T! The arrangement was awesome and your execution flawless! Cannot wait to see what you can do to top this one!
  3. Further Update The trailer has been deemed road worthy! We will be retrieving it this Saturday. Hopefully all equipment is intact!
  4. Ours was green No comments or critique....it would be nice to know what we need to do to improve!
  5. UPDATE Damage estimate on truck $6800! Insurance co. has not talked about trailer yet. We are hopeful that it can be made road worthy and towed back to Springfield. Thank you for the kind responses.
  6. I am sorry to report that while driving east on the New York Thruway heading home to Springfield we had a spin out due to a major downpour. Our tow vehicle braked to avoid a collision and our trailer hydroplaned and spun both truck and trailer. The truck/trailer did a 180 coming to rest against the guardrail facing the wrong direction! The driver was able to get it out before someone could hit it. NO ONE WAS HURT! However the truck sustained damage to both sides of the bed, the front and rear bumpers, and the trailer hitch is now at a 45 degree angle! We were able to still drive the truck to get us home, however we were not so lucky with the trailer. It has heavy damage, and the body separated form the floor! The right side door was almost torn off. It does appear that all our equipment survived the accident but since it was getting dark, and raining we will have to wait till we get it back home to do a thorough inspection. At this time it would appear that we may not be able to compete in the spring BHOF events, as we do not presently have the funds to replace the trailer, We are hoping that we are covered by insurance, but are not sure what will be covered. Just thought our friends would like to know what happened. I will post updates. Again, no one was was injured, and we KNOW we got lucky that no other vehicle struck ours!
  7. Thanks for the heads up Tom! Our start time has moved up as it would appear one ensemble has dropped out in our catagory. The Melha Shriner Percussion Ensemble is looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends, and making new ones in Rochester! See you Friday night ON MAIN ST!
  8. I really miss the T Birds at the mini corps show. Especially the triple bass! When will you be back?
  9. WOW! What a great line up in I&E! I Can't wait!
  10. Does this mean Basement Brass will make an appearance also?
  11. The Melha Shriners Drum Corps of Springfield MA is reintroducing their horn line! The corps had dwindled to a very few and we decided to go all percussion. We have been using only glockenspiels for our music. With the success of our percussion ensemble we are now looking for horn players. If you can no longer march, but still want to play WE WANT YOU! We perform on a trailer for our parades. You do NOT NEED TO BE A SHRINER OR A MASON! We are allowed to have guest performers by our potentate. Naturally, if after being with us you wish to join you will be most welcome to. We will be competing in Rochester with our percussion ensemble. Please stop by and speak with one of us! See you in Rochester Sept. 2 on Main St.!
  12. C'mon Tom I was trying to give you props! Thanks to Dick for his answer!

  20. I LIKE the idea of fan voting. How many times have you seen a show where the fans went wild for a corps and the judges butchered the score? What show were they watching? This may let OUR voice be heard!
  21. Does any one have any idea when the applications for the I&E will be available? We would like to beat the rush!
