Blue Devils in a one 1-corps tier. No one has a chance against them. No knock on BAC, Bluecoats, or Crown. Just that BD knows how to design and execute a drum corps show like no one else. Until you can out-design BD, their dominance will continue.

What a great night watching drum corps on Flo. Biggest surprise - Mandarins. Wow, first time seeing them. Are they good! They sound great, colors pop, and show design is stellar. Spinning cages at the end amazing,

I don’t have an issue with amplification. However, I’d prefer this particular trumpet feature played within the entire ensemble.

Yep. The word mentioned earlier “cohesion”. Tough thing to achieve in 10-11 minutes with so much going on with the story.

And, PR looks super classy in those uniforms and headgear!

For sure! I’m not sure there’s room for PR to climb any higher than 5th this year. But this show is an absolute killer! Designers did their work this year. My absolute favorite PR show in many years. The marching members have to be digging performing this one!

Can someone please tell me how Blue Devils’ GE score is so far ahead of Bluecoats and Crown? i‘m not taking anything away from BD. But I really don’t see how BD is almost a whole point better in GE. Is it real or perceived?

Cohesion is a good word. I agree. As for cohesion, PR’s show is as well designed as any this year, in my view.

Phantom Regiment GE score being 2.1 points behind the leader in last night’s show? I don’t agree with that.

Agreed. Brass was even better than Tuesday. And a true ending to this show could possibly put them over the top.

BAC’s show falls apart at the end. They need an epic ending to challenge BD. Probably enough to win tonight though. Brass sounds amazing Bluecoats visual and GE will edge Crown. Crown sound amazing Ending nice addition Still need to finish show Phantom is an absolute pleasure to watch. This is a show to share with anyone as an example of what drum corps can be all about. 1. BAC 2. Bloo 3. Crown 4. Phantom

Bluecoats show is playful. So many other shows are so serious. This is fun!

Someday at a retreat, all corps should fill the fields with their props at the same time.

Crown going on early really makes that awesome brass stand out all the more Musically I love it. Visually, not as much.
