I was a lazy bum until I completed my first season of DCI. Completely turned my life around. Wouldn't be in college had it not been for my first season.

Exactly. Because Crown's involvement in the G7 directly effects how entertaining the show is going to be. Couldn't agree more.

Good post! I was first shown the Cavaliers 2002 show. With all the awesome drill moves and visuals, it really is a great example.

I really hope that Crown made a mistake on the first audition date. I believe the 18th is on a Sunday...

Please don't wear it to high school marching band competitions. Simple conversations do so much more than sporting a jacket. Obviously this isn't a rule or anything, just my $0.02.

Doing your research or watching a simple YouTube video will do you wonders rather than watching a DCI video. I'm both a fan of the Cadets and Richard Dawkins

The straight-leg technique our corps used caused me to have an inflamed pelvis (maxing out the technique!!)... Because it was very painful to jazz run, I was at the hospital after a full rehearsal day until around 4 in the morning. I woke up a few hours later for a show day. That was my worst experience ever. Edit: The hospital gave me steroids. Rehearsals were much easier for a while.
