Ive got the full show and audio if you still want it. quality isnt exactly spectacular, but it is still pretty good

by any chance does anyone have an audition packet from this year? im just curious what their material looks like... i might be interested in auditioning some day...

I think this is cool! gets more people into this type of activity! i dont want to see this turning drum corps into something different tho... this is opening the door for other ensembles, not opening the door to change drum corps... can we just leave it at that? i think we would all enjoy that

I will go back and watch my old 80's videos, and forget about DCI as we now know it.

i wouldnt doubt its G7 related... but as Bawker said above, if it was something bad related to the G7, i dont think it would be so coy.

Id agree. besides. that means that whoever doesnt leave, has a higher chance of getting a ring. and thats what they all really want... true story.

They wont... this would fail on a lot of levels. More players means more expenses for food and such, reeds, pads, ect, and things like clarinets cant handle the climate changes that corps go through. the changes in humidity and temperature would make them crack and break. its a logistical NIGHTMARE if you think about it... that and well, woodwinds were never made to march. not like this they werent. most of these instruments were made specifically for marching and thats why it works. no they are not bugles that were the "original" marching instruments, but they are evolved versions.

What confuses me is why this think they must break off. it wont solve anything... it will just be the end of dci. i wonder if they realize a lot of their members come from other corps that arent in the top 5 or 7 or whatever...

Just because they win doesnt mean they should run the business side of DCI... Cadets have run into money troubles in the past(Under Hopkins), tho in not sure BD has or not but saying that just because they have won that much doesnt really say much for financial stability. There is the BUSINESS side of DCI, and the PERFORMING side. they are obviously very good at the latter, however, i wouldnt agree that they are exactly the best role models for who should be running DCI... after all they were on the BoD while DCI heading toward this mess..
