  1. It's weird watching my boy on the tunnel cam for a couple minutes, waiting to go on.
  2. The male Cadets thank you for your assessment. But as far as money is concerned, you might try viewing this recent Organizational update from the YEA! Board.
  3. Who was the original drill designer? And I just did a quick read of their thread, and the Brass Arranger chimed in as well to say that he had requested to have his name removed since the show didn't reflect his work anymore either.
  4. Thank you DCI for the Tunnel CAM - giving me great audio all day long while I work!!!
  5. Librettos were usually available for purchase at most houses, though many opera go-ers were already familiar enough with the plot and/or dialogue that they didn't bother. All recordings tended to come with complete multi-lingual libretto translations, for instance, so if you read along when listening at home you became familiar enough with the dialogue that you could just sit back and listen when at the theatre, Some opera houses (the English National Opera, for example) would sing translated into the native language, not the original language. Of course, even English is often hard to understand when sung in an opera.
  6. Not that any of them should be wasting their precious time on social media, mind you!
  7. They didn't prior to around the mid-80s (mid-90s at the Met)... ###### younger generation ruining it for everyone! (I believe the first house to do it was as early as 1983, in Toronto)
  8. People complain about things twice as much as they say nice things.
  9. At this point last season, the Cadets thread was on page 967
  10. Originally of Willingboro, NJ, I believe, from '66 - '84, after which they continued as color guard only and continue today in WGI
  11. Really? Mic drop? I personally thought he rather missed the plot entirely, since it was obvious since the first post that everyone knew it was about the Conquest hits. ouooga and the posts afterwards were simply considering whether there was a second meaning within the visual code.
  12. And for all of you that might not be fond of this year's uniform, here is your chance to make sure the Cadets never wear it again. If 118 of you pony up $500 each, the Cadets won't have any more of them to ever use again!
  13. Not morse, but if you consider the dots as the numerical placement of letters within the alphabet: A = • B = •• C = ••• D = •••• etc. ergo ••|•|••• = B|A|C Of course, using that code would take a while to spell "eXamine Your Zipper"
  14. I hereby agree to return to DCP all the money they paid me for this gig.
  15. And here's a shot from inside that school, where the Cadets are staying. Prison or not - thanks to them for providing housing!!
  16. Fred Morrison could always hire him ... Too soon?
  17. I envy my son having a great excuse to make Than Thing You Do quotes while he's there.
  18. When it comes to stamina, you don't have to wait 50 years for a study showing "females exhibited smaller reductions in power and similar changes in rate of neuromuscular activation than males, indicating females were less fatigable than males."
