  3. Has a corps ever been rained on during there performance at the dci world championships?
  4. 709, that's right lol. Watching that show made me wonder how much talent those members gained over the summer.
  5. Id definetely agree with you on all those. A visually challenging show that many people seem to overlook was jersey surf 2011. It had some of the most difficult looking follow the leader sets I've ever seen but because they were very very small that year and got 25th there not as known for it as a finalist would be. Musically, id say that crown 2013 was the most challenging. Lol there were more notes in that show than people in the world
  6. What shows do you all think stood out as the most difficult shows in dci history?
  7. I'm planning to audition for pioneer in 2015. I play the baritone and it will be my rookie year. How does pioneer typically run auditions?
  8. Does anybody know what corps uniform designs will be in 2014?
  9. Does anybody know what corps uniform designs will be in 2014?
  10. All I was doing is seeing what people who have seen 1990's dci shows live thought about each corps shows. After all I wasn't alive until 98 and this website didnt exist back then. I don't see why this post got the negative reviews it did.
  11. Whoever has seen any of the DCI finals of the nineties, but hasn't found anywhere to review them, here is the post for you.
  12. This post may contradict with some of my other posts. But.... Drum corps is not dead. If you haven't noticed, most, if not all of the rule changes have actually made DCI much more interesting and fun to watch. Almost every rule change has made the activity grow and allowed the kids to put on shows that were once thought of as impossible. If there were no rule changes in dci history, then in the present day of 2013, we would not have had Spartacus, the zone, frameworks, Medea, what I'm saying is that almost every major show in the history of the activity happened as a result of some rule change. The one that comes to mind the most is star of indiana 1991. That show took the activity to another level, where the shows were just spectacular. My point is that without rule changes, the activity would just not be very impressive, and I am almost 100% certain that DCI will have another show this year that will stand out in history. DCI is not dying. It's growing and will be more spectacular than its been for a long time.
  13. I'll be auditioning in 2015. By then, I See a completely different activity.
  14. If only DCI saw how much smaller drum Corps will be as a result of all the changes....
  15. Drum corps is dead. I don't think I want to audition Anymore.
  16. Alot of the changes have given me second thoughts about marching
  17. What do you guys think the activity will be like in 2020?
  18. Is this seriously happening? What's next? Woodwinds? I understand that Drum corps evolves over time, but this is just ridiculous. I feel that the more the activity progresses, the more changes are made. I'm scared about what the activity will be in 2020.
  19. The cascades made 12th there second year in world class, but have declined alot since then. I hope they grow from here
