They are fascinating creatures. Have you ever stood on the bridge in downtown Austin Texas in July at dusk and seen the largest colony of bats in N America emerge, swirl around your head for several minutes as the assemble, then all fly down river in a black cloud to hunt for insects? It's an amazing sight! They also have a cool bat museum under the bridge.

You know, I was there and I didn't see any bat. Not saying it wasn't there but it wasn't obvious. What I did see was an issue with PR getting their props out the tunnel, something happened and they just stopped feeding their stuff out the tunnel. Maybe the tunnel manager stopped them due to the bat, I don't know. Anyway, they wouldn't let crown start bringing their stuff out until PR got their shower curtains out, and that took forever. When crown was allowed to start moving their stuff on field, it went pretty fast, except for one prop that seemed to get stuck for a moment, but that was quickly resolved. The problem was all the props incoming and outgoing had to use the same tunnel and there wasn't enough room for two way traffic. And if they delayed anyone because of a tiny little bat, that's totally weird. Who's afraid of a little bat anyway. They aren't going to swoop down and suck your blood, the worst they could do would be maybe poop on you, but even that is highly unlikely.

Just one observation from semi finals. In person, the staging of Fate as he walks across the field at the end is great. You notice it much more and it’s very effective. When you watch it on Flo, it seems odd to have Him walk so far right to gobble up the brass member. Totally different feeling when you see it in person. Hoping for the best run of the season tonight. Go Crown!!

YES for SCV at least. The amplification was obnoxious, to the point it hurt my ears. It seemed to get a bit better as the show progressed. Think they had some setting turned up too high.

Congrats to your son and all the brass members, they were awesome tonight. That’s the best I’ve heard them play all year. So proud of them, 2nd (close to 1st) in brass achievement! They are controlling what they can by performing at such a high level.

Great job Crown!! They sounded great on flo and the drill was a lot cleaner!! The ending is great, but I didn’t see anything new over Canton. What was up with the high cam operator, he kept panning the camera to the left over and over, when all the action was to the right. Why can’t he just put the camera in the center and leave it there.

I’m clueless when it comes to individual judges. Let us know if you have any other thoughts.
