Loved watching the shows tonight. Excited to finally see BD and BDB in World Class finals, as well as Vanguard returning to the top 3. Too bad for the Academy, though. Maybe 2017.

A friend of mine from work was on the prop staff earlier this summer. Rumor has it their next tarp is the same one CC used last year??

Looks like no undefeated corps this season. Glad BD finally peaked, but I didn't expect it to happen so abruptly. Still waiting for the Vanguard to finally pull ahead of them.

Actually, I could be wrong but I heard the drums are supposed to represent Sharkboy and Lavagirl? They're supposed to be layering in musical themes from the movie in the coming weeks. I love some John Debney.

A high school friend of mine is in the color guard at BDB. Rumor has it, BD is flying in Skrillex or Justin Bieber to a rehearsal and maybe trying a Clara-type idea at finals???

Actually, after sitting in on a few of their rehearsals, it seems like they're not as talented as one would assume. I wouldn't be surprised if BDB finally passes them this year.

I heard they aren't actually using any of the music, but they wanted to capture the vibe that the song produces. However, due do to copyright issues, they have to copyright the vibe. It's a vibe copyright, not music.

I agree that BD is 2 points above the rest, except for Crown. They deserve to both win and break the all time high score, despite what the judges say.

Hands down, the best drum major in DCI is Josh Goodman of The Academy. His innovative conducting technique and unique rehearsal style bring many exciting viewpoints to The Academy 2014.
