What does dressing mean in terms of visual?

For anyone at the show tonight, how was Crown's performance tonight?

I have not one clue what Tilt, Downside up, or Jagged line was about and I enjoyed all of those. Matter of fact, I have not understood Through a Looking Glass Darkly one freaking time, but it doesn't matter as those were good shows. The deeper meaning honestly means very little, as it really comes down to for each its own.

Crown absolutely killed it tonight! Brass, drums and GE were on fire. I really think this show is more of a 1 or 2 place show, but I will reserve that judgement until they all meet up on the 50 and go head to head. I am not a guard person, but they seem 100% cleaner than they did a week ago.

X-men killed it tonight. -Job well done!

Based on what i just viewed from PR, I could see The Academy sneaking past them for a Saturday night slot. I love PR, but...that show leaves a lot to be desired and even it is better than last year.

I'm hoping for a score between 78-80 tonight. -Go Crown!

I am really digging that Baritone snake maneuver in the closer when they are all in a straight line by the triangles. Anyone else catch that tonight, as DCI on opening night totally bombed it?

Crown killed it tonight and the guard is cleaning up, as they looked a bit better than they did on opening night.

Everyone, please watch Crown on the high cam view, so you can feel the depth and intensity of the visual program. DCI opening night did not do this show justice.

Yeah, this Cadets show is going to have to grow on me. I am speechless and not in a good way, but I will reserve judgement until later in the season.

On opening night I was skeptical on the Bluestars show. But after tonight, I think that show has potential for a 7-8th slot come finals. Wow, Wow, Wow!

I love the Xmen's show, as it was well done.

I know this prediction is useless and most likely one or more of these are off, but my thoughts on what happens after viewing all of the premier shows (minus BK): Santa Clara Vanguard Carolina Crown Bluecoats Blue Devils Cavaliers Boston Crusaders Mandarins Blue Stars Blue Knights Cadets Crossmen Phantom

So far, Crown is winning the ballad of the year award. I like SCV's..... but that show left me....... puzzled azz f... Its early and no one is where they will be in August, so lets enjoy this while it lasts.

crown killed it tonight. it's a shame the camera missed some of the visual effects. what a strong start to the season.

Is it comparable to a recent years show, or is it more of a new direction for Bloo?

In response to the lack of visual changes noted above, I believe there is far more body movement and choreography than in prior two seasons and a drill design that is better integrated with the musical selections. I believe once these areas are cleaned, Crown will be on par with how much bloo and scv had in their last two programs. IMO this is a huge improvement of moving towards the overall program design demand in the current dci era. The changes noted is why I also think they could be a top 2 contender if the judges reward the complex design and execution. To me this show is more visually and musically demanding than any show Crown has produced since 2013.

After watching Crown’s show multiple times, it is clear to me that the design team put the show together to win gold. While I have limited knowledge of what the other top 3 have to offer I do know that Crown is not messing around in brass, percussion, design, general effect, visual, or guard. The show is currently dirty but top notch overall. This show has so much potential, for which I also cannot wait to see how its layered and developed. Finally, the precussion section deserves much much kudos, as I already predict they may be top 2, if not earn their first Stanford. I’m predicting they will win opening night based on what I have seen and heard about the other two possibilities that night. -Go Crown,

I saw a video earlier that is no longer up of BD's Ghostlight field show, and I cannot believe I am saying this, but Crown's production is ahead of them (IMO). I am calling it now, they have the potential to be top 3 this year depending on how SCV, BD, and Bloo are doing.
