I understand who wrote it and what it means to the show, but the singing does nothing and contributes nothing to a well conceived and nicely done show.

Do not understand the singer or what it has to do with show at all.

I would say top 4 are musically ahead of everyone else. Santa Clara generates a lot of GE, great percussion and color guard. In this set of adjudication sheets, that's what it takes. Be great in GE, stay close in score in all other captions and take advantage of Color Guard and Percussion.

I did reach out during the show, did not get an answer until the next day that said they were working on it and would get back to me. No response other than that.

Please help me readers or users. I bought my subscription this week, but Akron looked like I was watching through a lens that was being sprayed with water, nothing was clear, on any device I tried. Sound was good, other than the announcer who just about blew my speakers out. When I turned on the CA show, the picture was perfect going from my computer (I use Google chrome and go through the website), but suddenly my picture froze and then I got that that 3/4 circle going around and round and a picture saying my show would start soon. Very frustrated right now. Do I need faster wifi or signal boosting from the wireless router? Help me out. Two years ago I had the DCI feed and had viewing parties with my kids for a lot of shows. I was hoping to do that again this year!

Got it and thank you for clarifying. I was taught one way and it's one of those ingrained deals in my personality. I coached and taught for over 30 years and have judged more than 20 and never once did I believe in throwing anyone's name out there attached to anything negative at all. If it was positive then I certainly let anyone know. If I believed that someone needed to move along away from something or needed to be called out for whatever negative thing that happened, it was a generalization, then if it wasn't taken care of, I would talk to them privately and let them know my feelings or decisions. I would prefer that if someone had a problem with me, that they would try to resolve between the two of us privately. So many times something is misunderstood or the conveyance needs to be made face to face in a private setting, rather than an open one, where embarrassing someone is the only thing that comes from attaching someone's name to something.

I'm not sure I understand. If you don't like Marie's or Deb's (I know both of them) names raked over the coals by people, why would you want anyone else's names put out there. If someone else, whether regular DCP'ers or not, is singling them out, then they need to be told to stop. The wrong does not correct itself by putting anyone else's name out in the public. It doesn't matter if I'm a newbie or not, right is right and wrong is wrong. I have read many of the things you have put out in DCP and believe you to be on the level headed side of things, but this is something that is a right or wrong to me as taught to me by my parents and by the people I admire most in this world who were my mentors and friends. The other thing that I thing doesn't quite hit the mark here, is the OP, from what it seems by his post, doesn't seem to be someone who would have thrown Marie or Deb under the bus by naming them. I could see the reasons if it was someone who had named either Marie or Deb before, then suddenly not wanting to put out any other names, for whatever reason they had. I still would not agree, but if you are going to name a couple of people, then you ought to name them all, but as for the premise of this, it's unseemly, disrespectful, unprofessional or whatever name you would like to place it under the - it's wrong category. For me Deb and Marie are two of the best and I've had groups judged by them and would value the things they said very much, as most others my groups have been judged by or I've adjudicated contests or festivals with.

Again, please defer to his preference to not put names out into the public. I wouldn't do that either. I know you think it's not verifiable without names attached, but there is a higher responsibility here to professionalism. It used to be a great quality and a standard to ascribe to. Now we have the days of click bating and being able to put blogs out and say names without having to worry about real world consequences. There isn't much professionalism left in many jobs and I applaud it.
