Storms popping up around the area again. Fingers crossed we get another hour clear. Ended up getting a ticket for home side, sitting on the 35. Let's go!

Temperature has dropped a lot to a comfortable 87 and breezy. Surf on now, much more serious show this year. Great brass stuff from where I'm at.

Heat Wavejust finished. Young Corps but they got a good reception from the home crowd. Legends on now, big sound. Heavy Bluecoats influence in style and design, not to mention some music from 2009. Lots of energy from the whole corps, but especially guard.

No wonder they sold out fast. Home side can't hold hardly anyone. Visitors side only holds about 200. http://i.imgur.com/T5ASDay.jpg Gotta say, seems like a weird venue choice given how populated central Florida is.

Huh, the link I was using said not available online and listed a number, but the number never worked for me. Oh well, I'll enjoy warmups and maybe grab a back stand seat if the weather holds. We have some really nasty clouds overhead right now with sharp lightning, but it should move out by show time.

So uh, anyone got an extra ticket? Really don't understand why they had no online sales for this event.

Out here watching Bloo ensemble. These kids are killing it full out despite the heat. Love this show even more in person. Ballad might be my favorite of theirs in the past 5 years.

Anyone know where Cadets & Bloo are rehearsing? I live 30 mins from Lakeland and didn't get a ticket because I didn't think about it selling out and you couldn't buy them online.

I think Tobias nailed it, 1 point spread from Bloo -> Cadets, but I'll give them a point each and say 79.5/78.5.

There are some good museums and similar attractions downtown as well, and I believe The Alexander is very close to the street they do I&E on.

Crown deserves guard if for nothing else but as an apology for having it ripped away from them last year. Seriously, I was way more upset that guard didn't win the caption than I was over BD getting gold. The two shows were a toss up for me and my favorites of the year but Crown's guard was legendary.

Tonight's panel was obviously off. Crown clearly didn't get worse over the past few days, especially by that much. Nor did the other corps. Don't act like the scores tonight mean anything at all.

That would be a fantastic boost for them. Heck yeah.

This year the tiers are a little more clear than last year. Though I think it's too early to predict actual placement, here goes mine: BD/Crown - both have championship corps and programs. It'll be closer than last year's finals spread either way. Bloo - great design and music but they're behind on cleanliness and demand Cavs - I love this show and how confident the kids are, surprise of the season? SCV - super classy and elegant Cadets - great demand and performers, but design and guard will hurt big

I'm not getting the props for this show. Tilt - The triangles fit the concept perfectly and were used in many interesting ways to literally tilt the performers. The giant orange tarp skewed the field to Tilt it. Perfect use of props for the concept. Kinetic Noise - The atomic orbs moved around the field, represented energy in it's purest form well, performers flipped around them, rolled in them, etc. Not as well implemented as the triangles but still really good and effective. Down Side Up - Ramps they slide down a lot? Sometimes they run up them then slide back down over and over. I just don't get how this represents or adds to the concept. After the tenth time seeing guard members slide down them I just rolled my eyes. I'm sure it will be developed more as the season goes on, but right now I'm just not making the connection or seeing how the props fit in the show. That said, I LOVE the show already. The music is a perfect vehicle for the new Bloo style they've been building for the past few years. I even like the uniforms. I just think you could take the props out (or at least half of them) and the show would be just as good if not better. They are so big they can be distracting at times, much like Crown's 2014 trampolines.

My theater was sold out! I'm pretty bummed. Last year it wasn't half full.

I haven't watched Bloo or Cadets yet, but I feel very good about Crowns chances to start strong tonight.

Watching from Orlando at Disney Springs AMC. Usually a fantastic theater, hoping they have the sound pumped like usual.

Goedel, Escher, Bach Pretty amazing book all around, but very meaty.

Rooting hard for you Crown tonight. I have a good feeling about this year.
