  1. What I’ve learned about All-Age is they’re training corps with high school age kids, both corps and members have very little money, compete in an inept run circuit that doesn’t have a large fan following, and thinks it’s a good idea to hold their championships over Labor Day weekend.
  2. I’m understanding now, community outreach worker who puts together an outreach strategy, providing strategic communications for inter-city communities in return for government funding.
  3. Ignored - considering how many drum corps were from those areas at one time - hardly! today it’s a microcosm of society and those organizations will never return. Didn’t your equipment and uniforms get stolen? Needed GoFundMe and other donations to even make it on the field last season, yet had a surplus of additional uniforms and equipment to give away to other programs. Interesting 🧐 The Bud Billiken Parade - aka it’s time to go back to school in Chicago parade. Your vision is admirable but not very realistic. Best of luck and future success
  4. Who are you trying to convince me or yourself? The decision to take a 3k hit was obviously a bad one. Lesson learned!
  5. I doubt seriously that any of that happened or they would still be willing to take a 3k hit this season instead of the boastfulness that they’re saving 3k by not doing so. From a financial perspective they made a better decision to no longer continue to do so. IMO Reduction in fees and new brass will be better for recruiting then the 3k hit to travel to Wisconsin via Chicago to do band show exhibitions for free. I guess we will have to wait and see which one is the better business decision.
  6. Duh! Would you care to explain the upside of that decision, or do you only have time to quote some anonymous famous sales manager?
  7. Received an explanation, but my question wasn’t answered as to why anyone thought it was a good business decision to knowingly lose money instead of making a profit then brag about saving 3k because of the decision made. That’s the deal sweetie!
  8. So excited after learning the Cavaliers were coming to California last season and they were the cat’s meow. Looking forward to seeing them again even if it is only on Flo. Might have a party or two with our friends Ramon and Lucas.
  9. Depends on which organizations you’re comparing. I have no other information to go on than what I read here or occasionally in a message. Frankly I hope the Cadets move up not further down. Eventually we’ll see it for ourselves.
  10. Tell me you’re not comparing the two brass sections level of talent and needs!
  11. As difficult as this might be for some people to read it’s certainly not what my expectations would be from a top 12 organization.
  12. What makes you believe a Cadets staff member would be forthcoming, and what makes you believe there are leading speculations? So before you question anyone’s credibility, let’s start with yours. Were you there! If so did you see and talk to either lifeisaround or Terri and her husband? If not then the only credible sources would be them.
  13. Since it has been noted by lifeisaround that there were less than 50 brass, I’m curious as to how many brass players were excused from this mandatory brass camp.
  14. Share with me and help me understand why it was a good business decision to travel to Wisconsin via Chicago from Columbus to do exhibitions in MACBDA for free?
  15. No show in Indy so no need for that discussion again.
  16. So you figured out that your organization is not a band from Wisconsin and that saved 3k! Okay fine!
  17. Good lord! This is nothing new and hasn’t been for like ever
  18. Don’t you and Jim attend some rehearsals when you’re in Florida?
