That’s the year we went and watched them rehearse before the first show in Oswego,Illinois and Jim said they’d be fourth place. I got a lot of mileage out of that remark in August. -

Nope. I had Miner-Dunn, though. Free orange sherbet. -

I’ve never had one of those, either. -

We’re experiencing a bunny hill now. It will be in decline by late next month. -

I think Culver’s burgers are just as good. -

No one has asked for it. I’ve been to live theater. We’re going on a cruise to Key West next week. They’re not requiring it. 🤷♀️ It’s probably just going to stay in the passport. -

I have one in my passport. I think. I haven’t had it out of my passport since I was vaccinated. I’m hoping it made the move to Floriduh. 🤔 -
I clearly remember going to the MBA(which is now BOA) championships in Whitewater while I was still marching. It was either 77 or 78.
-
It was $325 my last year. It seemed like a lot of money at the time.
-
Jim would use his vacation time, too. I think he’s a little too old for the air mattress now. And I’d worry if he was driving all night at his age. He was exhausted when he’d come home from 16 days. I commend you for your volunteerism. It’s a rarity nowadays and you’re especially lucky to have the corps you marched is still around to volunteer with. Jim and I are orphans.
-
I think you have to go through a background check to volunteer. My husband did every year he did and he hasn’t volunteered since 2016. He’s almost 70. Time for the younger people to step up.
-
Mine did. Class of 1975.
-
Well, ya know, as long as you win….(sarcasm off).
-
I remember chipping in for bail money while at a show for someone who got busted in Wisconsin. 😂 I think that was 1976.
-
Well, that’s certainly eclectic.
-
I’m guessing you and I both marched with some really colorful characters back then. And I am all the better for it.
-
You can’t put the toothpaste back into the tube. Let’s see how this season goes. I don’t think they’re out of the woods yet in the immediate future.

I think someone higher up than him in the pecking order, really, REALLY didn’t like him. Like someone told me fifty years ago, drum corps is a dictatorship. Not a democracy. -
All true. But, it doesn’t change the fact that in touring drum corps, it’s not sustainable. And we are definitely trending toward a economic downturn.
-
It’s not.
