Then almost every drum corps has terrible design! There is a reason that DCI has Michael Boo doing a live blog from regionals! One of those reasons is to help explain some of these shows! I've been a marching member, a fan, and ultimately a parent in this activity. Every year it gets harder and harder to understand the concepts that these corps are putting on the field and it takes many viewings and listenings to even come close to understanding what the designers were thinking. At this stage of drum corps, I wish more corps put these videos out before the season starts so the fans can TRY to appreciate and understand what is going on out there!

100% yes! Ending at Indy has been planned since Day 1! It can only work at Lucas Oil Stadium!

They are not in panic mode! The last set of changes to the ending have been planned all year but can't be put in until they get to Indy! If you don't like the finished product in Indy, not much can be said but it isn't done and may leave you scratching your head right now and that is by design!

They are there for the singer to help her with timing since there is so much going on musically all over the field (this information is from someone inside of Crown so I am taking their word for it). They are not there to enhance the sound of the brass line for the audience. Because, as you said, they don't need it.

Most people have them 4th or 5th in their rankings and they just quietly just keep adding and adjusting things to this show and the scores just keep climbing! LOVE IT!!!!

According to Hop yesterday on a video chat on Facebook, they are nowhere near there yet and sounds like it could be awhile before they are there.

And you also realize this video is not from July 1st. They sounded like this on June 24th!! I can only imagine what this will sound like in August!

Thanks for posting! I know they HAD to make changes but I still don't see how this show makes a young man say "Wow! I want to march with the Madison Scouts now!" I'm hoping this show grows on me, but I really just didn't have a moment in the show where I would have said, this really makes me want to march there and that is really the biggest problem that Madison has right now. The top talent is going elsewhere and they need a show that is just going to make young men say "I want to go there" but I'm just not seeing it with this show. For most of the show, the crowd is sitting on their hands which makes me sad. They want to be excited for them as do I but not seeing it with this show.

I suspect that the show will look different this Friday in Muncie after adding a minute to the show and they also have a number of days off after their Florida shows which lead to more being added in plenty of time to clean and keep up with the corps around them.

Agreed! I do think that for all the people that are currently thinking that this show may not stack up to Bloo, BD, SCV, and Cavies by the end of the season may have to change their minds.
