FWIW, I posted that to answer someone's question. It was an attempt to be helpful, nothing more.

Forced to confront the enemy within, newfound strength leads to an awakening, and phantasy gives way to reality… Additional description: ACT 1: Dark forces are in control of the corps, changing their normal white to black. It affects everything from their persona to the music. This act contains some of the most frenetic field movement and guard work. It is meant to make us feel unbalanced and confused, as is the corps in their struggle against the dark force. ACT 2: The corps fights to regain who they are. You will notice a lot of struggle for control over the dark forces, resulting in the appearance of the light force as the Rachmaninov begins. You will note that the music moves from dark, atonal at times (quite unlike what we associate with Regiment), to a beautiful ballad in a major key. ACT 3: The corps begins to win control as the battle rages, with the corps finally breaking the "spell," reflected in the white helmets, white guard units, and the bright flag design. Even the music reflects the beautiful, romantic/classical genre PR is known for. These are descriptions that were shared by someone else; they are not my personal interpretations.

One of my favorite performances this year was by the Marine Corps. It was clean, precise marching and maintained focus on the music without sound effects and electronic interference and distraction. After Bluecoats last year, I was concerned DCI would start to lose its identity into a WGI vibe. Others have expressed the opinion there is a certain quality of cheating to using electronics that embellish sounds that can and should be made by instruments. It all seems to be a bit much, to some degree.

That's hilarious! All joking aside, they're a talented group of young people that are putting on a great show!

Oh...is that what's going on? I had no idea. I love their show, but the random guy poking up out of the corps rocking back and forth cracks me up. The ol'nose to butt situation...bless those kids practicing that at the end of long, hot day... ;•>

For those asking about what Phantom Regiment's show is about (from the website): This seductive, powerful character begins life solely as an invasion of mind, but quickly becomes something more, blurring the lines between beauty, madness, and desire. Forced to confront the enemy within, newfound strength leads to an awakening, and phantasy gives way to reality… It's about being infatuated with something that isn't real. That's why the members are reaching out and crawling toward the girl in the beginning. When they change to the white hats it represents the willingness to face reality and live in the present and be free from isolating ("All By Myself"- Rachmaninoff) things that will destroy you. To me it "fits" more than the random title"Metamorph" for the Blue Devils show.

Is anyone else having issues with FloMarching?

The high res dropped as well. I don't know much about technology, but FloMarching obviously needs to get this figured out. On our end, PR started, then it stopped, a DCI 2016 bluray commercial came on, then PR started again, then it jumped to the live performance. It dropped again during Blue Stars. When everyone starts logging on to see the highest ranking corps, FloMarching should be prepared for this.

Is anyone having difficulty with the FloMarching multi cam steaming? We're watching on high speed connection through the Roku app. Everything was working great until Phantom Regiment came on. It has been dropping/buffering/skipping ever since.

All individuals transported to the hospital are expected to be released today.

Phantom will not be performing at the show in Mesa this evening.

The corps is on the schedule to perform at the Mesa, AZ tonight.
