at the time i marched with east coast jazz 2005 rome new york show... 117 on the field 2005 brocton HS div 2/3 (grand) finals, i remember driving by the temp sign before entering the school parking lot it was about 95 just before 12pm.. temp on the astro grass feild at 1:30 ish ..who the heck knows 2005 practice in the mall parking lot 103, heat index 110 2006 rome new york ..it was a div 2/3 show then a div 1 at night.. luckily the div 1 guys didnt catch the brunt of it.. omfg!!! miserable.... but i loved the sprinklers =P thats just about all i can remember besides that im sure A LOT of you guys can agree that 4th of july parades SUCk!!!

i love how everyone blames the demise of drum corps on one said person, sure he has brought some things to the board that are less than favorable to some, but guess what one person alone cannot pass the rule changes.

cadets 2000- 2003 ...thats all i have to say i think thats a pretty darn good crowd reaction. these past 2 years are just a little more "sophisticated" i guess you could call it that. still great shows though.

speaking of henry V is there a magical "link" someone can PM me.. ive been wanting to hear a drum corps version of this.. i think crown may have done this as well but i have no idea. and maybe one last request a song called terpsicore =P and cords.. cavies 2003.. not loud but very well ballanced

i have a better idea.. although throwing all these personal ideas out for the world to see, on why a div 2/3 is a 2/3 corps. why doesnt somebody just find the list of essentials that DCI requires corps to have in order to change divisions. this may be helpful instead of just confusing people and giving them the wrong idea. or you can email the board of dirrectors for div 2/3 and get their take on the div 2/3 portion of DCI. hmmmmmm...ponders.. ponders more.. wait the brain is catching fire.. too much thinking must stop

how would this solve it?? either way corps have mission statements. a corps such as mandarins can field around 30 members and own div 3 a corps like academy or magic can field a full corps and own div 2 #'s dont matter... so stop saying it does!!!!! #'s dont reflect tallent. div 1 cuts the "not so good members" div 2/3 cant really afford to cut "not so good members" ~~tallent is what devides div 2 from div 1. ya ya ya blah blah blah some div 2 can beat div 1 blah blah blah. so theres a grey area in the rankings.. if theyre alerady in div 1 then perhaps they deserve it, if not itll show and DCI will do the work. nuff said.. bye

ditto, but as usualy a change in dci will result in quite a few angry people~~ :ramd: :blah: ~~ <these fine icons here to the left certainly demonstrate some peoples feelings. btw ive mentioned this before.. what ever happened to the 110 member rule, or the minimum score of 75.00 to remain in div 1 that DCI was toying with?? im not possitive but i thought the 110 member rule was passed ..no?? although i voted as div 2/3 as an introduction to the drum corps experience... its a mix of drum corps being a minor league system and it being based on #'s. Div 1 corps have cadet corps (farm systems under the major organization). and there are some corps that have the #'s to play with the big boys but indeed intend on ruling div 2/3. either way, both ways work and theyre playing the game of DCI. dont like it?? then either recruit, fundraise more..get better staff?! ..either or.. youve forgotten or simply ignored the initial intentions of the corps to introduce kids into the activity with a MODERATELY** competitive aspect. thats all for now, adios

its part of the activity, granted its harder than if you were carrying a trumpet or mello or w/e. But if given difficult material.. and no matter what instrument your on, your job is to perfect it. i play tuba.. (a large one) i know what its like to jazz run and trying not to bounce and look dumb.

indeed it does as soon as i saw the phantom picture i was thinking something looked wrong with it.. the back leg isnt straight, and makes it look like an attempt at jazz running. sorry just my oppinion

there really isnt 24 placements to go. you can tell from the competition in the past that when a div 2 corps went div 1 for a show (finals week) thier score would drop around 15 points.. you cant argue with that #, just look at the old scores. so if your in the top of div 2 with the score of 97 that roughly translates out to 82 ?? which would have gotten you to 15th place in div 1 this year. so you already have a head start on the competition. just my 2 cents.
