i dont mean to sound like the party pooper or anything but even if you dont make it, dont take that the wrong way...remember, theres always next year...take the experience you get and grow from it..work on the things that they recommended and keep that determination inside of you.. best of luck at auditions :)

i dont think that being a junior corps member exempts the reason to not cleaning the horn. when i marched i would try to wash it with me once a week and shined it when i got a chance or on a show day. even if you wanted to, its hard to neglet your horn because the valves would get dried one day, or there is some sunscreen on the bell, or theres dirt all over. cleaning is still going to happen on a daily basis or at least once weekly no matter what.

my friend told me to try circular breathing by using a cup full of water and making bubbles with a straw..then when you are about to run out, puff your cheeks with air thats left and take breath in...it kinda helps..

was originally a woodwind player (clarinet to be exact), then tried pit for my first two years..realizing my hands were too slow, i decided to switch to trumpet/sop and here we are :) now, i play trumpet/soprano for marching season and drum corps then switch to clarinet during concert or symphonic season...

i would but im to poor to head east :(...if i did, i would have auditioned for a sop spot... ^OO^

hey shannon- im not sure if San Diego State University has THE best but from what i have heard, their jazz band is alot of fun and the professor cool..

its soo hard to choose...im really torn between PR and SCV.. :sos:
