  3. I am asking $550 for mine. Its like brand new.It was jsut brought of of the wrapper and used for a couple of rehearsals.Never marched with.Only played indoors.
  4. I have a 3 valve deg for sale.Basically new in the box.PM on the way.
  5. sorry for the double tap. I sent Brett Getzen a PM about the horn you are looking for and he sent me this responce.Hope it helps. "Thanks for the heads up. I'm not really up on the old bugles since it has been so long since we built them. I will ask around tomorrow and let him know what I find. Yikes, I can see I have my work cut out for me on this one. Thanks again. Brett Getzen"
  6. Brett Getzen post a bunch of stuff over at Trumpet hearld .com www.trumpetherald.com You might try ask him over there.
  7. I say get what you can but those prices are a bit too steep for my blood.Best of luck to ya. FWIW.Even if you bought a Good corrugated container and packing material and Double boxed it,I can't imagine the horn costing $35 bucks to ship.maybe $25 bucks to zone 5 I sell a bunch of horns on EBay and even the heavier Baritones with Hard wood cases being shipped to zone 5 don't cost that much.Forget ever shipping a Contra. me thinks you need to get a more positive estimate of shipping charges and a more realistic price if you expect to sell them. Again best of luck with your sale.
  8. Its easy to do.Just go slow.If you go too far you will have to get some really fine sandpaper and smooth it out. Done this on my own horn and many horns in the High School Marching Band.Works all the time.
  9. You could try and flare the end of the slide a bit. Easy thing to do.Take a old sharp pocket knife and insert inside the tube.Start twisting it with some slight pressure.end of slide will flare and work perfectly.
  10. You can add Music City legend to that list. We did Baroque Samba last year as our closer.
  11. Its the best Maynard band I have heard in the last 5 or so years. These guys are clicking like no other. Great bunch of musicians.
  12. I am sure it was a great show. I have been watching the schedule and realized that Joey(dartman) was close to home.I was hoping his dad could catch the act. Sounds like fun.I got to see them 3 weeks ago in Oak Ridge. What a show.Joey is a class act and its great to be able to call him a freind. BTW Maynard does sound better than he has in the last couple of years.I never miss a chance to see him and his sound seems so much fuller and round than it did two years ago.One of the members told me the Monette horn he is playing has really helped him.If thats the case I am ready to unload about $8800 for one of those bad boys. b**bs
  13. I enjoyed the show but I am annoyed at the production people that left Music City legend off the "senior corps" schedule. No mention of us at all.
  14. I always seem to sit by some old bat that can't keep her yap shut. Tonight was no exception.I had to ask her once to put her cell phone away and I had to TELL her twice to shut her pie hole.I thought me and husband were going to get into but I think he was as tired of listening to her as I was.
  15. Ill be there.I will be the one forcing you to sign a recruitment form against your will. :P Contact me on the back channel and let me know what flavor you want. edwardamason@yahoo.com

  18. I have 4 two valve DEG Mello's I want to sell. edwardamason@yahoo.com
  19. What were you guys on last year?
  20. Thanks guys. You are the greatest
  21. When reading music in treble clef for a concert baritone,,, Are the fingering positions the same as the bugle chart? In other words is a G open valve?b natural 2nd valve ETC?
  22. Ohh he can still hit them.He proves it at each concert. He is getting on up there in years and does have to have some of the boys handle the longer strings for him.Thats not to say he is still not the master. Maynard had his 75th birthday bash last year or the year before that. Can't remember which. That puts him over the 75 year old mark.I hope I am above ground and playing when I am 75 much less peeling out those high notes. I love Maynard!I hate all of you trolls that get to go see him :P :P :P
