sorry Mike, but in those prehistoric days when the rules of drum corps were locked into stupid traditional instrumentation and rules, you had no amps to help you, so you had to beat the #### out of the keys to be heard. it's not your fault, the founders of DCI, still in power at that time, were just behind the times ( yes this is fully sarcastic)
