  1. wow. my rookie year was 89. yet i stories back to 1962 lol. thanks dad!
  2. i so wish you could meetDeb Werth. she played bass 3 in Westshore in 95 and 96 and could play with anyone. She chose bass cause bass rocks. but then again, you probably dont look past the snare line. this woman was too cool....she'd shower w/the guys just cause she believed in bass bonding.
  3. 78 rocked. Imagine that kind of fluctuation now....people would freak out if they didnt know the winner in July
  4. OMG that was you? Thurston told us about this in 90 when he came up to Westshore for a weekend
  5. ah 79 North Stah. that drumline was in ####### credible.
  6. btw guys expect to find this thread in the new Historical Forum very soon.
  7. ben, in addition to what was said above, when the corps folded, the membership went 4 ways( there's that #### number again) Reading. Rebels hanover nowhere. the nowhere crowd was extremely upset that people left. yet, some of them are the cause of why there was nowehre else to go. by 78, when a lot of the Rebs crew was there, those w/the attitude were gone.
  8. oh well, the us vs. them wasnt limitied to outside the corps. had a small issue of that WITHIN the corps one year.
  9. yeah that attitude in 74, 84 and 98 ruined some great friendships. look, if there wasn't gonna be a Westshore, and people wanted to march, where else to go close but Reading? I got #### in 00 when i was asked to teach Bucs by some nameless members of the late 90's early 00's administration, and my reply was "well, you've only killed what little jerry left, where the #### else am i supposed to go?" no one said another word. I know dad got flak in 74 for staying with the Rebels, but he stuck it out with them thru the end of 76. in 78 he came home and by then, all was forgiven. ####, if it hadn't been for Rebels folding, 78's drumline wouldn't have been a large reason the corps made finals.
  10. wait, you mean other members of the Filipelli clan marched in Westshore? :P
  11. i'm still digging for it. I have dad digging thru his place too. However he did find the Hershey show from 77 on LP
  12. i just found a tape of prelims from 93. wow, that #### was clean drumline
  13. wow i just found a tape from Hershey in 82. man that's some fun listening
  14. Everybody Loves the Blues, but the solo was the Entertainer by Billy Joel
  15. Steve! How can a soul get a hold of you? All emails I sent got returned. @jcpmech.navy.mil and @paonline are dead-ends. Spence ran_man@hotmail.com i'll email it to ya
  16. ah #### i caught that. thanks dude! see what i get from letting Larry talk about who was when where.
  17. i saw Chris at the mall yesterday and told him to check it out. i know he called me at one point to say he was looking around, but we lost power in the storms last night so i didnt get his call til 11 pm
  18. and now a happier thought. for those around in 90, who remembers when Hoss the bus driver(not Hoss the drummer) did donuts in Scrantons parking lot with the bus?
